Strange criss-cross print aftifacts.

Post by deager4 »

Hey all. Recently I have noticed that my prints all have a strange cross-cross artifact on the outside surface. This usually manifests as bumps and valleys. I'm not really sure what is causing this, nothing I have done to either the machine or software. If anyone can help that would be great.

It sounds like you are printing a low resolution stl file. post the file, link to the file or a picture.

looks like the machine sat for a while? sitting for a while will make a little "flat spot" on the bearing covers... go around your carrages and rotate each bearing a different amount or different direction (just grab the bearing with your finger and spin it without letting the carrage move).. this will mix up the flats and get rid of that artifact from your prints..
