Coronavirus 3D printed ventilator - no electronics/no moving parts

Post by artexmg »

I have been working with a design team to create (yet another) ventilator.

The difference with this ventilator to the many over there is that is based on fluid dynamics and uses no electronics, no moving parts, just plastic (and Oxigen, hoses, and valves of course :-) )

Currently, we have two working prototypes, one in aluminum (made with CNC) and another 3D printed (with my Artemis! :-) ). They're looking good, and data seems to be within the ranges required (pressure, airflow, tidal volume, PEEP, PIP, etc).

anyone who wants to replicate the device and test it would be welcome!
