Plastic pulled right off! Must not have had enough glue stick applied.

Booo, I wasn't entering the forum by the time you posted this.
So rude nobody answered. I don't know what happened to this forum, it used to be so active.

You were lucky to have that sock installed. If not I can already picture that hotend with melted plastic all over it lol
Happy to see you here Barry. Because of you I built a MPCNC and I love it :)

I have missed that post too, and indeed it seems less busy here at the moment. However that's probably a summer-season-silence ;-) and also Michael seems very busy with non-SeeMe projects ;-)

Looking at the picture I can't help thinking it would not have happened without the sock. Sounds very different then "the sock saved me!"

Omg.. I said that because a remebered that some guy once made a rip plaque for his hotend. It was so cool that I wanted mine to fail so I could have one. But well, of course I had to google it, and guess what?

It was Barry! :D

He is a hotend mass murderer now.

Haaaa... you are right, I'm part of the problem I was complaning about.
I don't know, I've changed my job and moved to another house. The printer was left in a corner and remained there for like 2 months. I guess that when you are not printing stuff everything related is pushed away too :/

I'm back now and glad to be around.

I think a lot of us cut back, especially once Carl (Eaglesoar), wasn't around to remind us to actually look for answered topics. I try to respond to actual problems though (Sadly, I don't have many cool things of my own that are printing related to share)

I've been playing with another hobby lately and not printing too much.

I think Gene started one to convert to a plasma cutter, but he hasn't posted over there in a while. That's the problem with too many hobbies.

I'm dialing back on other stuff in order to get my wood shop finished. I've only been working on THAT for 10 years. *sigh* :)
