Hello. I have a 3D Printer that has the RAMBo board and I wanted to have the LCD Smart Controller. I bought this one that apparently is from RepRapDiscount:
http://dx.com/p/robotale-ramps-1-4-fr4- ... wzRvfldVIE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Recently I also bought the adapter from Ultimachine:
https://ultimachine.com/content/lcd-sma ... -kit-rambo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I followed all the Arduino instructions from the Wiki page:
http://reprap.org/wiki/RamboLCD" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But after flashing the RAMBo and I connecting the cables from the Smart Controller to the RAMBo board I get nothing. I switched the cables back and forth and the best I get is the LCD light on.
-Has any of you have this Smart Controller working on the RAMBo?
-Should I better get another Smart Controller? If so, which one will work out-of-the-box?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: Help Needed: RAMBo and Robotale LCD
What firmware are you using on the Rambo board?
The newest 2 or 3 versions of Repetier have LCD support as standard OOTBF.

Thanks. It seems a customized version from the original (Checking the Configuration.h file). I am going to run M115 to see what it returns.Jimustanguitar wrote:What firmware are you using on the Rambo board?

I checked the http://download.seemecnc.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; page and I was wondering which firmware I need for the RAMBo (sorry noob here )

It depends on what machine you have. If it's a Rostock or an Orion, I would go to the SeeMeCNC Github and download the firmware there. If you have a different printer, go get the firmware directly from the Repetier website.
Sorry for not pasting links, I'm mobile at the moment.

What kind of printer are we discussing in this topic?
Re: Need Help: RAMBo and Robotale LCD
Hello. I got busy with work and I couldn't play with the LCD until now. It is for an Airwolf printer. I didn't realized until now that this is not a general forum. Sorry abou that. Just FYI I removed the tab from the ribbon cables to be able to invert the cables and I downloaded the latest merlin firmware. After flashing the RAMBo I connected the LCD with the inverted cables and I it came up. I don't get the temperatures reading and I get an error of MaxTemp, but I can control the X,Y, Z movement of the printer. Any idea what can be wrong? I have a RAMBo 1.1b
Thank you,
CB

You have to understand that we can offer you only very limited support. Most of us do not run Marlin firmware and have never seen and Airwolf printer.CrazyBear wrote:Hello. You are welcome to use the forum to ask you questions but I feel your answers will be slow in coming simply because of the unfamiliarity we have with that
printer and it's firmware. I did find a site, a forum actually specifically for your printer at :http://airwolf3d.com/3d-printer-forums/
Again you are welcome here and always will be but we are not the best forum for problems with your printer. Best of luck!
