Hey there i've succesfully set up my dual extruder setup
I measured the exact difference from E0 to zero in x and y, also from E1 zo zero in x and y direction. Calculated the steps and save it in the EEProm and also in the firmware and if i do an toolchange everything works fine and the prints came out really nice for the beginning
Now to the problem:
When i enable E0 and i send the extruder to x0 and y0 the extruder isn't in the center of the bed That means that the print didn't start in the center of the bed (it starts with the distance from E0 to zero x and y)
Is there a chance to set an offset of the print bed?
(btw. i'm using Repetier v. 0.80)
Thanks in advance!!
Sunny greetings
Michael

Re: Dual extruder configuration - zero point problem
I was having the same problem its most likely your offset in Slic3r.
For reference I am using trick lasers dual mount that has them offset in the center 25mm apart, Slicer .09.10.b and repetier host v.090c
Ext 1 = x -12.5 y 0
Ext 2 = x 12.5 y0
In the EEprom I got my offset as follows (What one would think)
Extr 1 x-offset in steps = -1000 ..... thats 80*-12.5
Extr 1 y-offset in steps = 0
Extr 2 x-offset in steps = 1000
Extr 2 y-offset in steps = 0
In Slic3r under printer settings I got my offset as follows (What one would not think but it works)
Extruder 1 Exturder offset x -12.5 y 0
Extruder 2 Exturder offset x -12.5 y 0
yeah there both the same in slic3r??? not sure of the logic but when I applied the negative offset for extruder 1 and the positive offset for exturder 2 it came out all messed up... you could even see it in the G-code preview
Hope this helps
