I agree with TKL and Michael.
Either one would be fine with me.

Really looking forward to buying one of these, just got some ABS and I can't print it without a heated bed.
When will you be listing these on the site? Can I buy/reserve one in advance to ensure I get one?
I would prefer a cheaper uninsured shipping option as well, a bubble envelope will definitely suffice. I've received hundreds of packages from the US and never needed to use the insurance before.

Those do sure look nice ,, but what the heck is a Phebe ?? Anyways It doesnt matter to me much on the shipping, but it does seem like $18 , is a bit much. Should we expect another paypal notice?

I named her Phebe (P-CB He-ated Be-d) I would not like it to be called "Torben's Heatet Bed" or any other unimaginative name.
Re: (Group Buy) for 7"x7.5" Heated Bed
Yes guys, Im resending the paypal invoices for shipping.
Re: (Group Buy) for 7"x7.5" Heated Bed
Hi John,
I received a Paypal invoice for my heated bed to Australia.......$38.00 US "OUCH" .
I too would be happy to take the risk without insurance & a padded bag & the cheapest shipping available.
I would also like to add 1 foot of 2mm teflon tube, 6 inches of 3/8 peek rod & 10 x 1/4 20 nuts Please.
I had a few nuts and bolts missing from my kit when it arrived & have used 10mm metric nuts with a 1/4 20 tap shoved through em but would like to replace them so i have 1 spanner
size. Please feel free to charge me for the extra 7 nuts (i don't expect free-bees).
Thanks heaps for doing all this
Cheers, Peter Hoddinott.

Hey John,
I jumped the gun and paid the first invoice late yesterday before you posted that you would send out new ones so please let me know what happens next, such as did it ship at the higher rate or if not and it ships at the lower rate what happens to the extra balance.
Sorry for the added shenanigans.

How much do I owe for the cheap shipping? I only got the pay pal bill for the $18.00 international rate. And how can I get the money to you ASAP ?
Re: (Group Buy) for 7"x7.5" Heated Bed
Ok guys. Sorry, I was out yesterday with the flu bug. I know youre all anxious to get your beds. I went this morning to the post office and had just enough time to mail one US and one intl. and for US shipping, it was $5.35 and intl was $9.78
Sorry for the hassle with shipping, well have them all shipped monday. I will be resending invoices today.

Re: (Group Buy) for 7"x7.5" Heated Bed
Ok, I fixed the shipping invoices, so 6 for US shipping and 10 for intl, rounded up a few cents each so Julie can buy gas to the post office, haha.
They're on their way today!

Hi John,
I received my updated shipping quote to Australia (much kinder on my heart rate....thanks) but no mention of the following items which i wanted to add from your store.
Quote from previous post ......."i would also like to add 1 foot of 2mm teflon tube, 6 inches of 3/8 peek rod & 10 x 1/4 20 nuts Please.

Please advise if this is possible

Re: (Group Buy) for 7"x7.5" Heated Bed
Peter, sorry, i completely spaced your other parts out. I shipped your board Saturday as one of the boards to get pricing on. Send me an email with your other parts olz.
Ok, for anyone else wanting a board, there are 5 left after the group orders, our "shop bots" and testing. I just put them up on the website, once these are gone, we will be ordering more, with a change to the blue soldermask. Those boards are available on our indiegogo campaign now for pre orders.
Thanks again guys

If any of you guys want some nice insulation for these, I bought a roll of it already from McMaster Carr.
I will never use it all.
I will sell it by the square foot.
It's nice stuff.

Are you talking about "Ultra-Thin Flexible Paper Insulation"? This comes in a roll?

Re: (Group Buy) for 7"x7.5" Heated Bed
This stuff looks like white cotton sheet and they call it 1/4" thick.
Just copy that number and input that into the search and it should let you know what this is.
I can take a few pictures if needed.

When I follow that link or search for the part number it want me to sign up or sign in
You say 1/4"? I assume it is for isolation between the PCB and the underlaying board?

Re: (Group Buy) for 7"x7.5" Heated Bed
Right.
I have a base, then insulation, then PCB, then glass. When the bed is heated to 110 C, the base isn't even warm. This is some good stuff.
This is what it is.
"Flexible Ceramic Insulation
The flexible option when insulating against extreme heat, this ceramic insulation can be used as a wrap and protects against molten metal sparks and splashes. It can also be used as a heat shield or to fabricate gaskets, line ovens and furnaces, and insulate hose and cables."
"Maximum Temperature: 2000° F"
