I bought this thing back at the end of October, and it is my first delta style printer. I can't believe the quality of the prints it provides. I have since placed a PEI sheet on the build plate glass, which has helped tremendously. This post is about my most recent upgrade:
- Duet Wifi
- 7" PanelDue
- E3D V6
- FSR kit
Here's an Iron Man Helmet I made:
Here's an Eiffel Tower (I have a bad habit of using a lighter to eliminate strings)
The new goodies:
First step was to make the FSR mount from mhackney's blog (for those looking for the link, I found it in the comments of his blog post). I printed the DXF to a PDF file on size A2 paper, then using Adobe Acrobat I printed it to a "poster" so I could split it up into multiple letter sized pages. Then I just taped them together and cut it out.
Then I taped that paper to a piece of plywood and cut it out with a skill saw.
Here's a quick test fit
This shows the FSR mounted to the printer - it has an adhesive backing, as does the silicone pad.
