I'm new to 3D printing. I recently purchased a Rostock Max V3.2, and needed something work related to help justify the cost. I work as a motion specialist for an industrial distributor, and on a whim downloaded a stp file for a Siemens 1FK7022 servo motor. I used Cura to slice it, and the first print turned out very realistic after a quick paint job. So I went one step further and downloaded a Tolomatic RSA24 linear actuator 3D cad file and printed it. After I painted it, I put the servo motor into the actuator, and to my pleasant surprise they matched up just as the real thing! They don't move like my real demo, but they are certainly a lot lighter!
I've tried several other products that we carry with varying levels of success that confirmed that I have a lot to learn. I really appreciate the Community forum and the help that everyone gives.
