Hi folks,
Can anyone give me the make and model of the steppers that SeeMeCNC is supplying in their current Rostock Max v2 kit (which they call "Our P/N: 26504 - UPC: 834537001021")? What I really want is the spec sheet, so I can determine whether some steppers I currently have are suitable substitutes.
TIA,
Mike
PS: BTW, is there an "official" (and complete!) BoM? I've seen some attempts at same by other members, which leads me to believe there isn't. I've even attempted that myself, pulling together info from the four "hardware kits" listed in the assembly manual, but that info appears incomplete.
Spec sheet for Rostock steppers?
Re: Spec sheet for Rostock steppers?
The BOM in the manual(s) come straight off the packing lists from the kits, so I have a hard time believing they're incomplete.

Re: Spec sheet for Rostock steppers?
Thanks, Gene, for the quick reply. And for the very detailed assembly manual (latest PDF generated 5/27/16). Lots of assembly details, but unfortunately not the spec info I need. Your "visual BoM" shows a picture of the steppers and the text:
So if you can recommend typical brands and models, that would be very useful.

The SeeMeCNC webpage for their part number 26501 doesn't give much more info (other than listing a holding torque of 76in-oz (vs 66in-oz, which the above g-cm value converts to). I really would like to get more tech info to aid my design efforts, including in priority order:(4) NEMA 17 Stepper Motors (4800gcm holding torque). Used for three motion axes and extruder drive. [26501]
- Coil impedance and max current (probably around 2A).
- Motor length (presume 48mm) and other dimensions
- Motor rotational inertia
- Motor bearing type and max loads (radial and axial -- former important as it limits belt tension).
- Etc.
So if you can recommend typical brands and models, that would be very useful.

Re: Spec sheet for Rostock steppers?
I don't know anything more about the steppers than you do - the description was taken straight off the BOM that was included in the kit I used. If you need a data sheet for the stepper, I can just about guarantee you'll get one if you contact them directly (and they have one). Email [email protected]. Keep in mind that I'm in Washington State and they're in Indiana, so it's not like I can just throw a wad of paper at John and yell, "Gimme a spec sheet!"

Thanks, Gene!
Re: Spec sheet for Rostock steppers?
My original steppers have a sticker on them " Kysan 1124090 7951"
Datasheet shows 5.5 kg cm or 76ish oz in.

Thanks, KAS!
Re: Spec sheet for Rostock steppers?
Not that KAS incorrect about the motors it seems that seemecnc uses more than one supplier. Per an email replied on May 26, 2016:
The motor number given was 42BYGH811 which led me to Wantai Motor. The email did not list a supplier so I may be incorrect on the asumption that this is the manufature of the above part number. Below it the link to the part number:
