Rmax2 80steps/mm OR 82.5steps/mm

Post by Qdeathstar »

Easy question, and im pretty sure it is 80steps/mm but what is the stock steps/mm for a Rostock V2... for some reason earlier i have put 82.5steps/mm as the steps for the x,y, and z towers, but I am having problems with the z-values not being "high" enough and the nozzle dipping into the print a bit, so I rethought my steps per mm and I am now seeing reports of 80steps/mm... and i think my confusion was that 82.5 is for the original romax V1, where as 80steps/mm is for the V2?

Is that correct?

It's 80 steps/mm. That's a constant as defined by the tooth count in the drive gear that moves the belts. 82.5 was never a valid value for any version of the Rostock MAX.

Rumor has it if you switch from an Indica to a Sativa, it dials back the d'oh. :)
