Warning - No EEProm Mapping

Post by ramai »

I'm getting this message when I click Configure for EEProm under the hardware section in MatterControl.

"Oops! There was no eprom mapping for your printer's firmware.

You may need to wait a minute for your printer to finish initializing."

I can still print, but I wanted to update my PID values and can't access it. Has anyone had this problem?

Did you try waiting a minute and trying again/rebooting the machine?

This error popped up for me after I turned the power on and immediately went to eeprom settings.

I had to try it a few times before it went back to normal.

Yes, that's the first thing I tried. It's been on for a few days, and through multiple prints. I just can't modify the eeprom.

Peeking at code, looks like mattercontrol gives you that message when it doesn't recognize the firmware it's connected to as one of those it knows the eeprom mapping for.

That would be normal immediately after turning on the printer, because it actually takes a few seconds for the printer to come online and the firmware to identify itself. That's what the wait to finish initializing part of the message is about.

Thanks Eric, that is a helpful hint. Maybe it's an issue with software.

If it comes up for anyone, I reinstalled the software and the issue went away.

Had that issue a few times recently too. After restarting the machine it would come back but randomly reappear. Not sure if its related but sometimes when I turn on the RAMBO I get a blank LCD screen, are these bugs in the latest firmware?

The issue has nothing to do with the firmware.
