AL heat spreader

Post by TwoTone »

Does anyone print directly on the AL heat spreader?

Just wondering since the glass build plate just broke on me and wanted to get some printing done this weekend while waiting on a new one.

You can go to a glass shop and have them cut you a disc of glass. Just make sure they sand the edges for you.

I come sorta close. I print on PEI on Al, but be aware that it's not ideal and may not be flat.
