Alan Z. here.
My Rostock Max v2 kit should arrive here tomorrow. I expect some very busy days ahead.
My current 3D printer is a New Matter MOD-t, a very interesting machine, I hope they do well.
Now that I've dipped my toes into the 3D printing waters, my next goal is to print prosthetic hands and donate them to the Enable project (a friend of mine is already doing this with his printers)
I have WAY WAY too many interests... they include woodturning, cooking, motorcycling, mandolin, videography, audio, photography, the list goes on and on. Each interest cannibalizes time from the other interests, so it's a tricky balancing act.
I am clearly in it for the toys. I enjoy acquiring equipment, learning the tools, and pushing the tools.
Fun stuff.
Professionally, I administer a very large online community (over 400,000 members) for a computer hardware and software company.
It's nice to be here.

Re: Greetings from New Jersey
It's nice to have you here Alan Z.
With all those interests you must be very busy and sleep little.
I want to personally thank you for purchasing the world's best 3D printer kit, you have made a very good choice.
Please remember that we are here to help you out any time you have a question or problem.
We also would appreciate build and finished printer pictures if you can swing it.
Happy building!

Re: Greetings from New Jersey
I just got mine like a week ago. Had a ton of fun building it, and coming up with mods and such. Welcome to the group!
Re: Greetings from New Jersey
Thanks for the welcome.
I hope to do both time lapse and detail videos of the build... setting up for that in advance of the kit's arrival.
If you want to take a look at some videos I've made about the MOD-t, woodturning, etc. etc. my YouTube channel is https://www.youtube.com/user/Zentient1

Cool! I'll check that out. I took a few pictures of mine during the build, but a time lapse would be freaking sweet!

Alan, your video's are great. It is refreshing to see videos where the camera is not shaking all over the place.
Very well done. We do have a build subforum if you are interested in using it to documenent your build.
