Slic3r and Mach3 arc support

Post by Feisty »

Im finding that for any curved surface im getting a very rough jerky movement is there any way to smooth out this kind of movement? im sure its not my printer as i ddnt have this problem with skeinforge. im wondering if the constant velocity mode in mach3 could help but is there any way to change this in slic3r?

What version of Slic3r are you using? I'm using 0.9.7 and I find it all around much better than 0.8. Both in infilling and gcode generation. Note that the config file format is different in 0.9 than 0.8 and .8 won't read .9 configs so save a copy of your configs in case you want to go back.
