Where are all of the detailed Artemis reviews?

Post by Noircogi »

Hello,
I was a very early wait-list buyer of the Max V3. I use it a lot and did mods for 24V bed heating and an enclosure for ABS printing.

I'm intrigued by the Artemis, but was disappointed that it still uses a standard bowden extruder design.

Since Artemis has been out about a month now, I keep looking for in-depth reviews, but I haven't been able to find any. Are the production volumes just extremely low or what?

How does it do with flexible filaments? Can the fans be readily modified for use in a tight enclosure? How does speed and quality of print compare to other larger new printers?

Thanks,
Scott

Have had the Artemis for around a month. The best 3D printer I have ever used! Fast, Quiet, and "Fun" to use!!. Beautiful prints every time! Have been printing everyday for at least 6 hours per day and more. The more I use it... the more I like it! Getting use to using Cura 3.1.0. With the latest Slicer Profiles from SeeMeCNC. Makes model setup a breeze.. Love the Web interface and with a plugin from SeeMeCNC you can send from Cura to the printer over WiFi. Awsome!! I had a few hiccups which SeeMeCNC handled quickly. Mostly on me and not them.. I just love this company and their printers!

In terms of utility I think it is "competing" with some $4000+ offerings.

The Artemis is a great printer. I am very impressed with the build quality, feature set, quietness, and the quality of the prints it produces.
I hope the dual extruder option becomes available soon.

I'll chime in on flexibles. We printed all the flexible cable covers that ship on the Artemis with the Artemis we've got in the office. We've printed a bunch of stuff with the Sainsmart TPU with no problem. Production is still ramping up and the 4 week lead time still scares off some sales, but so far nobody has had anything bad to say about the Artemis aside from a few teething troubles.

Oh wow! I just took a look at the cable boots (which I thought were molded) they are in fact 3d printed.
