Brian,

Those look great! I have one question...

I had a set of your Carbon Fiber Traxxas ball cup arms and I switched out to try the SeeMeCNC arms with the white barbell ball cup arms. I remember I had to change the radius in the firmware for the SeeMeCNC arms. If I put your CF arms with the Traxxas ball joints back on with the new ball cup end upgrade, what effect will it have on the radius? Will I have to change the EEPROM value?

Thanks!

Brian, the new X Mini Carriages look awesome. The design and machining is excellent, I'm looking forward to installing them, the new ball cup arms and the other goodies and giving them a test!

One question/comment - there are no good carriage options for 1515 or 2020 and this design looks like it could easily be adapted, especially for 1515 extrusions. I've got several Kossel 250s and Mini Kossels that would love such a carriage! These would be awesome with the new ball cup arms and effector.

Just got Retro-fit kit, and found out that I'm unable to unscrew anything from CF arms, hand slips and nothing moves. Tried to gently twist back and forth to loosen, no luck :( Any advices?

The aluminum insert in Cf tube has a 8-32 threaded set screw in it, the set screw has thread lock compound on them so they may turn hard, but should be possible to unscrew them. The threads are standard right hand, so turn counter clockwise to remove.
The Traxxas rod ends sometimes unscrew from set screw first, in that case you need to grab onto setscrew with locking pliers to remove.

i do not advise using pliers on CF tube, it crushes very easily.

If you squeeze the threaded end of the ballcups a couple times with a pair of pliers, it will loosen them up.
