Nice add-on Brian, they do look great.
Just out of curiosity, will they come in other colors?

What kind of plastic are they made from? My slight OCD makes me wish these were a neutral color like black/white/silver so I'd be interested to know if they were made from something I could use a black plastic dye on.

Brian, do you have a "conversion" in the works for the Max Metal Platform? (http://www.tricklaser.com/MAX-METAL-Pla ... L-PLAT.htm)

Hi Kevin,
Yes, metal balls with M3 studs will be available.
I got a few 100 threaded balls in a few months ago but the quality was not acceptable. (China, no suprise there)
So I built a fixture to drill balls myself very precisely and press studs in, it works but is very labor intensive.
I am looking for a more efficient way to make them, possibly friction welding cap screws to stainless steel bearing balls. Once I get a few other projects off my plate, the plan is to build a spin welding jig.
Trying to keep cost reasonable.
Quotes to have custom turned ball+stud have been ridiculously expensive.
I REALLY want steel balls, the seeme plastic barbells flex a bit to much for me. But they do work decent, so that's what we will use with our rod ends for now.
Actually, one piece machined metal bar-bells is possibly the best design. I have one designed and modeled, just have not had time to get prototypes made.

Sounds good, when available I'll definitely purchase a set.
