Aluminum Cyclops Water Cooling :D
Hi, so at first I wasn't sure i could make my own water cooler. But after talking to McHackney and others about it i decided that what i really wanted was dual extrusion water cooling, so it made little since to invest in water cooling for an E3DV6, when what was really needed was a water-cooled cyc...

Nylon: Oh Dear.
Hi. I decided today was going to be the day i printed nylon. (taulman 645, e3d v6 @ 250, bed at 50, heat chamber on 50c, retraction similar to abs). That was a week ago. Since then, i have had trouble getting it to stick. It prints the first layer or so OK, but after that it ends off coming off the ...

Re: I could use some purchase advice/help.
Duet electronics replaces the rambo. It is responsible for interpreting the gcode and translating that into moving the steppers, extruder, and hotend/bed temps. It also does everything that the raspberri pi would do running octoprint. The pi allows you to control the printer wirelessly. The duet all...

Re: I could use some purchase advice/help.
1: You can do better on amazon visavi the raspberry pi.... it's also not a necessary upgrade and maybe i'd spend my money elsewhere. For example, duet electronics from the start is a good upgrade to do from the start. I found the hotend on the v2 to be more than adequate, and my assumption would be ...

Re: Was shipped a convex-shaped heat bed. Same with the replacement
i'm not sure if it's that big a deal... the glass, which is what you print on is much thicker than the heatbed pcb and will flatten the heatbed. Have you had any issues with printing?

Re: Silencing The noise
i don't think the berdAir is quieter... i found it magnitudes louder, but, i have it mounted on the side of my enclosure which is probably the worst possible configuration from an acoustic stand point as the side panel of polycarbonate acts like a drum... but it's still worth it from a difference in...

Re: Silencing The noise
Yep, plus you get a better interface and firmware. Autocalibration that works, and software that is constantly updated.
I upgraded my printer to duet and now the only noise I hear is from my fans....
I don't have any dampeners installed either

unfortunately one maker space they had around here closed down a few years ago, and the second one requires you to pay 1200/year up front and then charges you for authorization classes to use tools like the lathe/cnc cutter/etc... I saw the file down option, but i had dreams of something more like t...

Water cooled e3d v6
Hello, I have an e3d V6 and i M noticing with some of my white abs filament (black and red seem ok) if I have my heated enclosure on and my nozzle at ~230 the print starts fine for a while, but then begins to experience symptoms of filament starvation about 1cm off the bed.... I think the reason for...

how are you planning to cool the hotend? i'm assuming a fan wouldn't do a lot at an enclosure temp of 150c?

i also would be interested in a pipe that fits the jackets.. i purchased som copper tubing and plan to make some straight nozzles, but, obviously i think a round one that fits the socks would be better.
