Re: Enclosure for the V3

Thanks! It looks like 3.75" from the side of the tower out to the inside of the next panel/inside of the turn. This places the clearance 1.125" beyond the side of the v3 panel/plate holding surface edge. Note this is contact clearance, so a smidge more would likely be good. The skates at t...

Enclosure for the V3

Xenocrates - do you have a STL of enclosure brackets for the v3 available that allows for full movement using the additional plexiglass? In another thread it sounded like you might have them available. Recommended hinge STL? I need an enclosure and would like to remove the risk of using stock calibr...

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration

Using the SeeMeCNC web page to adjust the proper eeprom parameters did resolve my leveling issues. Hopefully they will get a more powerful controller soon and be able to do this using a firmware solution. The Octoprint plugin worked for me once, but no longer recognizes my printer as a SeeMeCNC. Tha...

Re: Bed Heat

With no layer fans on, first layer printing and reflective bubble insulation under the bed it appears that 93 degrees is my steady state temp. Started at 110 with an insulated cover to get it up to temp. This is running the 10/9/16 firmware, I am going to try bang bang next to eliminate any PID para...

I have insulated under the bed and it helps a bit, but now considering enclosures and 24V vs bumping up the voltage on the existing power supply. I prefer to print on glass and with ABS I need more temp...

Didn't help me :( [edit] after lots of reboots, disconnects, reconnects while working on other stuff I went back and checked and the plugin now though I was the right printer again. Since I am already level, I didn't mess with it further. [quote="ToddZilla"morgandc, I had the same problem. ...

Very easy to add later, you can buy the SeeMeCNC kit later and install or figure out mounts and buy it elsewhere so you can install it now.

Re: OctoPrint Plugin!

Octoprint 1.2.16 Firmware 0.92.2 dated 12/9/16 For some reason the plugin says I am not running a SeeMeCNC printer: Upgraded the firmware and installed the OctoPrint plug, restarted octoprint, ran a g29 and used the OctoPrint pluging to load eeprom and Delta Calibrate. Watched the calibration and sa...

Re: HE280 upgrade for MAX v2 - Worth it?

Likely reading the forums will give you the many opinions. Personally I would not go to the HE280 because it isn't supported by a couple of the other control boards and thus less flexible and there are boards on the way for auto calibrating the other hot ends. But, I am one of the ones having some l...

Re: Octoprint

Well, larger power supply for the Pi didn't resolve the booting issue with the camera attached. External power assistance for the camera didn't help either, so all that is left is software. Not sure what to think. I guess find a different camera.

In adding an option to the Poll....it reset the Poll. Please revote!

We had about 5 people in the 50-70 range, and 1 entry each in the other higher ranges.

Re: Bed Heat

So far most of the votes are in the 50-70c range. To those of you that are voting above 70c, are your machines still stock voltage no insulation? Is this temp steady state with the fans running and not a preheat temp with the bed covered?

Thanks,

Re: Bed Heat

Most of the parts I am printing are less than a couple inches high, and with the fans on full to minimize stringing and slump it appears that the power supply can't keep up with both the hot end and the bed. Yes I have OctoPrint that graphs the temperatures and I have fully stable temps in both the ...

What is your highest stabile bed temp (stock config v3 no voltage tweak or insulation under the bed) with the fans running on full power near the bed plate? Nozzle size vs Overhangs

Just curious if anyone has seen a correlation between nozzle size and how well unsupported overhangs do. It seems like a smaller nozzle would weigh less and cool faster therefore making unsupported overhangs a bit better.

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration

I am running the dev version, didn't run enough tests to be scientific. I think it is a bit better, but still not level. I was more focused on the new PEI bed and abs. Too much changed to know if it improved or not. The 75mm test disks look better, but not perfect, so I would not expect the large ri...

Re: Heated Bed slow heating wont go past 68 degrees

I have the same issue, can't get past about 88 on mine. I switched to Bang Bang to skip PID control tuning and the firmware decouples prior to reaching any higher.
