Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration
I thought it was interesting that the "deep" way of mounting the bed was recommended on the other thread. That is the opposite of what I have done, I followed the directions

Re: Temp Variance
The bed temps for PLA and PETG seemed to be ok, so I am guessing my thermistor is ok? Possibly the I gain needs to be increased is what I was thinking? The temp just plateau's early. Besides taking too long (12v), I think it is a PID tune. Does anyone have the M503 / M206 commands to set the bed PID...

Re: Temp Variance
Moving into ABS, need the bed hotter than it will go by default. PID autotune time for that as well.

When editing the network.txt file, don't forget to remove the # from the front of the lines you want to use!

I was thinking of trying one higher up the whole bundle, keep the weight off the hotend and hopefully still do the job.

Well... I am going for the shotgun effect, hoping that I can put a larger one around the end bundle. The penalty would be the added weight.

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration
We have one in town, and it says they have them in stock... but the largest would be about 6.75mm which is likely a hint small. 8mm would be a bit closer. They also have 3mm and 5mm.

Hmmm, makes my want to run down to radio shack. Did you try any other combinations? IE putting it around the entire effector wire bundle?

That model is actually line interactive, you would only see "true sine" when the power was off.

Re: Filament characteristics
Hmmm, just dawned on me that MH was probably using PET generically, including PETG. The PETG I have is very stringy, probably does bridge very well, just not overhang very well. Oven cooking PLA might be an option, hoping there is a better option. I read somewhere that ABS did overhangs better than ...

Filament characteristics
I am looking for a filament that is as good as PLA at "bridging" or short overhangs with a higher temp tolerance. After spending a week with PETG it doesn't look like it will do what I want. (internal large square thread). The PLA does a great job for me. according to the MatterHacker webs...

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration
Two questions -
1. If this was an interference issue, why would the level be so consistently off in the same direction?
2. Does a proper manual leveling work? I tried (first time ever) and it didn't seem to be better.
Thanks.

Interesting that a v2 with HE280 has the same issue. I s under the impression that the bed mounting system was different between the versions?
