Re: Auto Level - Auto Calibration Talk
By the way, modifying the height in the tower via the parameters in config.h shouldn't be the same as of psychically adjusting the screws? :-| That typo is funny. Changing the Z tower height in EEPROM and adjusting all the endstop screws in precisely the same way are functionally equivalent. They b...

Re: Auto Level - Auto Calibration Talk
I would like to have some coherent troubleshooting steps in the wiki, based on the above. I found someone in Troubleshooting who is having a problem similar to mine and I sent a link to this thread. If it works for that person, cool, and if not maybe we can figure out some refinements. Once there i...

Re: Multi-Extruder setup fail
I have had my RoStock for a few months and have been working towards dual and eventually a triple extruder setup. I have all the mechanics in place but lately I keep having issues with my setup which I believe come from the stiffness of the bowden tubes. I print with 3mm filament and use 1/8" ...

Re: Update to enable second extruder
I got in touch with John from SeeMeCNC and he told me that my board was probably with the bad bootloader. After hours and hours of searching and tinkering I got to this page: http://www.gammon.com.au/forum/?id=11635 Basically it's a sketch that has bootloaders for the ATMEGA chips using an Arduino ...

Re: Greetings for Texas
I wanted the Acrylic kit really bad, but they discontinued them by the time I bought mine. They look totally sweet and i could just just imagine what they would look like with LEDs strategically placed around them. Apparently lasercutting acrylic puts off some pretty nasty fumes, and there's spatte...

Re: dual extruder success on Rostock Max?
Thanks guys, the reason I ask is I've patiently searched the forum as well as YouTube, and can't find any videos of duals in action on A Rostock Max. I was hoping to get visual "proof" before spending company time on it! Hey man, did you get the dual extruder set up? I'm in the middle of ...

Re: My Rostock!
So ... it means that, eventually, I will have to re-do it? :-| I'm sure the atmosphere and the humidity will eventually take its toll on our wood ones as well. So we will all have to redo our in time. Still even with the potential of cracking, i wood rather have an acrylic one. Although i did just ...

Re: My Rostock!
No you don't. :) The acrylic version looks great, but has cracking problems. g. I agree. I had one and over time it cracked so badly I tore it apart and replaced the acrylic with the wood version. They look nice but it is the wrong choice of materials for a printer. So ... it means that, eventually...

Finally, my 3D is finished and it is kicking and printing ... still some upgrades in the queue, but hell, it is working well enough today. By the way, many thanks to CNC guy's for the spare pieces they graciously provided (acrylic seems to be very delicate when it comes to extra-torque :-) ) Happy P...

Greetings for Texas
Hi there! I got the 3D printing fever past February and bought myself a Rostock Max (acrylic kit, very neat!). However, I had to put it aside for several months incomplete (sight!). Finally, a month ago I finished it and, after a stepped learning curve, I finally produced my first printing ... this ...

It looks nice, but it was a pain in the neck when building, as I broke several pieces when tightening the screws. By the way, thanks to CNC guy's for providing the spare pieces

Re: Hardware needed to convert a Rostock MAX to dual extrude
I'm just going down that path. I bought the Dual hot end from tricklaser and the extra ezstruder/hot end kit from Seeme CNC. Here is a picture of my current setting. You can see that I have a Steve's Struder as my Rostock is an "old" one (ordered by end of February) I'm still waiting for t...
