Re: Aluminum and carbon fiber E3d V6 mount. RELEASED!

Makes me wonder what I could crank out on my ShopBot PRT 96 Alpha. :) I've run aluminum on it in the past, but only "2D" work (control panels) I've only ever used 2 flute cutters on it (.125") when doing that. The last aluminum part I ran was the metal back for the EW panel in the F-...

Re: Aluminum and carbon fiber E3d V6 mount. RELEASED!

I love how the mounts look that I've seen pictures of. Thank you for making them. I've just gone ahead and ordered one, and some extra hardware. Is there a reason that the under mount kit is cheaper than the basic kit without spacers? It seems like it would logically be the reverse. Also, as a CNC ...

Re: Aluminum and carbon fiber E3d V6 mount. RELEASED!

I came back to say the same thing. I filed a very small bevel to the inside shoulder on both sides and it slid right in. It's definitely right this time as there is a significant difference in the height it sits at. After repeated removals it's definitely wearing away at those two Red/Blue lines th...

Re: Aluminum and carbon fiber E3d V6 mount. RELEASED!

Oh its definitely serviceable once the lock rings on. I highlighted the area in red. as it moves from the blue i think it's getting lower. it's subtle but if you hold the heat sink and wiggle it you can feel it dip in and out while riding the "hump" that im fairly sure is at the line wher...

Re: Aluminum and carbon fiber E3d V6 mount. RELEASED!

So i got mine in today. Looks great, love the blue. I do have one question. when i seat the v6 in the mount it rocks back and forth a bit like there is a hump along the surface of the flat. Is this part of the design or am i just imagining things? There should not be any humps as the recess is mill...

Re: Aluminum and carbon fiber E3d V6 mount. RELEASED!

Tinker12, the mount looks great in there and the color is nice and deep for an anodized part. Thanks for letting us know what worked on the Orion for the fan, I will be doing the same to my Orion as soon as my mounts arrive. I think you will really like the colors on your mount Eagle. That red came...

Just wanted to chime in and say everything received looks great! I plan on using it with a new printer build. By chance do you have a design already made for the indicator mount insert? Glad to hear everything showed up well and you are happy with the mount. I will attach the STl for the dial here....

Just about caught up on mounts and getting ready to ship out the latest wave of orders which will get us all caught up. We junked over 25 mounts due to the screw clearance issue and I have been working hard to mill out new ones and get caught up on anodizing. As soon as the mill clears at 6am tomorr...

Re: Aluminum and carbon fiber E3d V6 mount. RELEASED!

OK I went back and checked some mounts I have here.. We did a few runs that tanked ( which became color samples ) and right after that the two runs of mounts that just went out. It looks like those sets of mounts which should have a mount hole countersink hole size of 6mm, turned out at 5.77m or so ...

Do they seem short for some reason? The pass through hole was left oversized to make sure they would fit OK. But it is really which ever way works best for your setup

Re: Aluminum and carbon fiber E3d V6 mount. RELEASED!

My Code Monkey is going to update the site shortly with assembly instructions for the mounts. These are the renderings of the mounts and screws. There are 3 flat head screws (cone shaped under the head) with each mount and 3-6 pan head (slightly domed shaped head). You can put it together how you li...

I love the food saver packing. :) Unfortunately, I can't use 'em yet as I've had a project shoe-horned to the head of the line....which will trigger a 4th Ed. of the manual. Muahahaha. :D g. I am searching for some good unbranded vacuum packaging still. But I felt it was the best way to package the...

Re: Aluminum and carbon fiber E3d V6 mount. RELEASED!

Got mine today. Looks great. Is the middle set of holes not supposed to be tapped? OK I just got home and I put my hands on a mount I have here still ( sold out a few days ago) it is the mount I used in the Bowden lock ring photo shoot. It is tapped and in perfect condition. I will get it in the tu...

If itnis a dial mount then it does not matter. If it is a hot end mount, then yes it should be. Contact me at [email protected] and I will get it sorted if there is an issue. If one slipped through untapped then I will get a replacement shipped ASAP on my dime.

Re: Aluminum and carbon fiber E3d V6 mount. RELEASED!

From what I am seeing here, you will need the SeemeCNC lock ring in your kit. it holds the YJ board about 1-2mm above the screws that secure the lock ring and it centers the SeemeCNC hot end in the mount. The YJ nylon screws should not be needed, but pick the YJ option (free) in the options when you...

Re: Question on heating up my 24V Onyx hotbed faster

I did the same as Jimustanguitar did. I went with the Meanwell 500W 24V power supply. The high end SSR (Which ever brand and model Nightwatchman used) and I went to 12AWG high temp/high flex wire to the heat bed. I also did the 24v to 12V for everything else. It heats up super fast and works like a ...

I like this. Do you have a source for the switches so if it works out it can be used by others? I am going to give this one a go and see how it works out. https://miscsolutions.wordpress.com/mini-height-sensor-board/ I like what I have seen so far and it seems to be able to stay in place even while ...
