Thanks again for the info, I have ordered the nervo board and have been studying MyRobotlab. Lots to learn! - thanks for the PM.

Re: PEI disaster

I am thinking about building a corexy soon, and I think I might go for piezo disk leveling on that, though maybe it has the same issues with pei as the accelerometer boards do. When I built my CoreXY I just made sure it was perfectly square and solid so Auto levelling is not needed. A properly buil...

Re: Rostock Max V2 For Sale

This is still available. Only in Ontario , Toronto area please. I live in the Peterborough area so in that radius. I really don't want to tear it down and go through the hassle of shipping. Not for $450.00.

Re: LokBuild - wow - update not so wow after all.

Lokbuild just isn't good enough for day in, day out printing. Too much left over plastic from previous prints... Dimples from my Z probe... scratches crazy easy... TPU was unremovable and left residue even after careful scraping.. left ugly finish that transferred to next print. You know, stuff that...

Re: PEI disaster

If the print can be gripped with pliers and pulled directly upward and away from the PEI, that seems to work best, and I have no idea why. Maybe it's that I'm grabbing a corner and pulling that edge up first, then the rest releases? Pulling up on print is wrong way. You should never have to use pli...

Thanks for the advise! Did you use the Nervo board ? It seems a good idea. http://inmoov.fr/product/nervo-board-components/

You have been busy with a few of you own mods. Very nice, I like the neck especially. Would care to share any of the cad files?

Re: Any new beds for me to consider?

I bought a 110v Keenovo heater pad a couple weeks ago. I was a bit hesitant to spend the $65 for it, but after having it in hand, it's actually carefully made and I'm pleased with it. The plan is to design an aluminum bed to stick it to, and incorporate pads for FSRs and some kind of glass clamp to...

I see others have asked for the S3D setting you use. Not trying to sound rude but you seem a little elusive. Is there a reason for that?

Re: It's time for some upgrades... [InMoov]

Finished my CNC project now time for another. Inmoov looks like the perfect long term project. There seems to be many different locations of STL files and my question is: Is there a single one spot with the most updated files? for example, I see the new neck is far different then the original but wh...

Ok, Love affair with LokBuild is over. Back to my 2.5 year old PEI... like putting on an old pair of shoes. The Lokbuild just isn't good enough for day in, day out printing.

Thanks. The guy who makes the Prometheus states he can't make Simplify 3D work. Your setting would be helpful as that is my goto slicer.

Nice video. Thanks for making it. I have a prometheius system sitting in a box which would do a similar (exact) same thing. What slicer / tool change settings are you using?

Re: Repetier firmware for RoMax V2

I think this could be caused by default values in the firmware that do not take your specific setup into account. When you start the machine, what are the temps without starting any heater? Does that show some "real life" values? Like 20C for ambient temp? And if you start a heater, does ...

Re: Repetier firmware for RoMax V2

Def is cause by a thermistor interruption. One of the thermistors have either shorted (the wires touched each other) or temporarily lost connection somewhere. Check the wiring. It is not a firmware issue. The firmware just shuts down the heaters when the fault is triggered to prevent a runaway over ...

Re: Astrosyn Dampers on Orion?

I am in the process of doing some upgrades on my Orion. It has been working great until a couple joints on the towers started to freeze up. So I decided to upgrade the arms and carriages and while I was at it add astrosyn dampers to keep the family happy. I have done some searching here in the foru...
