Looking for a gcommand that sets temps and get's regular updates without have to issue a m105 command nonstop. I thought it was working with a m109 but now it isn't.

Re: Temp Variance
Since I connected Raspi last night, I was hoping that was involved....but no such luck. I removed it and when printing off the internal SD same issue.

Re: Temp Variance
Oddly enough at about 18 minutes it just gave up and started printing. There must be a timeout somewhere that says go for it?

Re: Temp Variance
Well, something else appears to be going on as well :( After doing a preheat to 260/60 the bed was rock solid for 10 minutes then decided to spike above target by 7c and return to target. The Nozzle has now decided to hover 1-6 degrees under target. I can up the target by 5 degrees and it plays the ...

Re: Octoprint
More info:
1. Seems to be when not printing, so likely ok.
2. Octoprint only seems to actively update the temp when it thinks it is printing?
3. May be related to 2.
4. Still digging.

Octoprint
I am loving Octoprint for the most part, but I have a few questions/things that I am trying to figure out. 1. The terminal window has a LOT of "Recv: wait". Is this normal? Should I supress? 2. The actual temp doesn't seem to update enough, it can be WAY off from what the printer LCD reads...

Re: A big vase
Very Cool!
Do you find that the reduction in time to print is proportional to the layer size/nozzle size?
What method did you use to switch colors in the middle of the print?

Friends don't let friends slice with matterslicer
Truthfully, to get dimensionally accurate prints I switched over to KISSlicer and my stuff is much better.

I zip tied my connector wire to the bowden tube which is stiffer to reduce some of the load on the connecter up several inches.

Re: Faster Heated Bed Issue
Is the Rambo activating the relay reliably? If you put an ohm meter on the output, can you activate/deactivate the relay many times without any problems? I would start with trying to isolate which side of the relay the issue is on without the load on the output. I haven't played with board/chip outp...

Re: Temp Variance
So, really a person should preheat separately prior to sending a print to get past that overshoot if the surface temp is critical. Interesting, it looked solid after it came back down as it should.

Temp Variance
How much of a temp variance between target and actual should I bee seeing? I am just now starting to watch during prints, and I just saw 68c on the bed when the target was 60c. The hot end target is 220 and I have seen 216. If this is not normal, any idea what could be causing it? I believe it start...

I am thinking that the Octoprint custom Control screen - Movement section needs a home button/command. Would G28 be appropriate?

Re: SE Washington
Thanks. Trying to figure out the stringing now, I don't think it is heat related. But still testing. I saw some REALLY odd temp control last night, the targets were being ignored by both the head and plate. Plate was over by 5c and the head under by 4c. This morning everything was acting normal agai...
