Re: First print problems
Maybe you can slow down your printspeed. Specially on Overhangs and short Layertime the filament has not enough time to cool and it is too soft when the next layer is printed. I´m printing these big Overhangs mostly with support structure and a skirt around the part to keep it up to bed temperature....

Re: Fake SSR Burned Up
I bought the SSR-40-DD just to be sure that it could hack the amperage. Put mine on a heatsink (with thermal grease) that a different Fotek SSR came on (the one Inventables sells). Mounted nicely behind the side panel of my Max, pics later. Haven't actually used it though :) Stay tuned for that par...

Re: Upgrading to ARM and 0.9 Steppers - Vertical Banding Iss
I'm just wondering, why did you take the dampers off when installing 0.9 steppers? Because I have much better prints without. I experienced that weeks ago with my old setup. Deinstalled the dampers and sharp corners and banding got better. Especially on higher print speeds the dampers add backlash ...

Re: Upgrading to ARM and 0.9 Steppers - Vertical Banding Iss
Hi all, having this banding issue as well, I decided to go the 0.9° road with a smoothieboard /azteeg X5. Magnetic ballarms are nearly finished and ready to install. Everything is upgraded to 24V as well. Removed the astrosyn dampers as well. I installed 0.9° Stepper motors to my RM2 last night. Now...

Re: sizes of a print producr issue
I had % 10 growth in the Z dimension.... I think that´s nearly impossible. You printed a part which is 10mm in Z, you got it in 11mm. Ok, that´s possible. You printed a part which is 100mm tall, you got it in 110mm???? Think, that´s impossible. Let´s think about that. Let´s say you have a Layerhigh...

Re: sizes of a print producr issue
It depends. What are your slicer settings? Count your Layers in your slicer and multiply it with your Layer hight you printing with. Dont forget, if you have a bigger first Layerhight, to add this. And, maybe you have a little offset due to your calibrated Z0. I´m printing most with first Layer 0.15...

oh, sorry. Nothing. Didnt recognized that you installed it to the left side.

Re: Pulley 20 vs. 16
I think the only reason is the Rambo. increasing workload due to 20% more steps will overcharge the rambo. My 16teeth pulleys looking better than the 20teeth coming with the Rostock. So I don´t be afraid of eating the belts with it. I will give it a try when I´m ready to install my magnetic ballarms...

Pulley 20 vs. 16
Hi Pro´s, I have some 16 teeth Pulleys left from another Project. Wouldn´t it increase the resolution and accuracy by installing smaller pulleys? The torque will be higher and the amps for the motor can be reduced as well. Why we are using 20 teeth? Is it for the rambo board running at the edge? May...

Re: Bed temp only goes to 83C
Thanks, I'll give the towel trick try. I think the instructions said to use the 18AWG that was part of the CAT5 wiring. Should the wiring size be bigger? That could be some of the problem. The bed pulls a fair amount of current, for #18 wire it should more likely have 3 or perhaps 4 wires on each l...

Re: I made abs silly putty!
Well I have been having a terrible time lately with Shaxon brand abs. It prints fine on some prints but 90% of the time the print fails. I decided to make abs juice to help with the warping problems, so I took 3 feet of 1.75mm abs and put it in 4oz of acetone. Long story short, after a while there ...

Some careful calibration and adding some PEI pays off. Check out the level of adhesion and how close I can get to the edge. This is ABS at 225 with the bed at 85. Where did you get the PEI Plate? The only source I know is amazon mentioned here in another thread. But I´m waiting now for 2 month with...
