Re: Automatic Nozzle Wiper

Ugh... it's killing me. I know I've seen a nozzle wiper mod here about 6 months ago, but I can't seem to find it! It was just a brass dremel head that sat stationary on one side that the hot end wiped before heading to the print...

Re: oh hai guys!

geneb pointed me toward Designspark Mechanical when I first started and I haven't looked back. I don't know my way around any CAD programs and designspark is very visual based. If you check out the DS Mechanical website, there is a video there showing just how simple a lot of functions are. Check it...

Just in case this isn't a complete troll... yes. The glue should have set up by now. Glue = no good.

Please don't post so many of the same message at once. It looks quite bad.

I never had a problem with my stock resistors. A heater cartridge would be the way to go though.

Re: Just needs a little cleaning,,,,,

That clog was a work of art. I'm amazed you got it cleaned up in the time you did. Had I walked into that, I probably would have tossed the hot end in the trash.

Re: question about filament stuck in nozzle

+1 Sure looks like heat creep. It's melting too high up into your hot end then cooling and getting plugged there. You definitely need a fan on that PEEK section if you don't have one. Also, did you try lowering your temperature a bit? 215C is a bit high for most PLA. Might be contributing to the hea...

After putting the Astrosyn dampers on mine, by far the loudest sound on the machine is the couple fans. HUGE difference.

Re: How many days have YOU printed?

A little over 37 days. Half of which has been fighting with my magnetic arms. Just placed an order for the Trick Laser arms a few hours ago. Hopefully I can start racking up more time on the machine. Over the last month and a half I haven't printed much at all because I've been having such a hell of...

Re: Why do all my prints look like this??

I agree with the over extrusion, but could you also provide more information? What material are you using? What temperature are you printing at? Layer height, etc. You've obviously got problems and it looks like too much filament at too high a temperature.

Wow... That operation you guys have going there is a hell of a lot bigger than I thought it was. I figured a lot of your guys' stuff was outsourced. I wish I worked in a place with all that cool stuff.

Make sure to put up some pictures of your finished results.

I'd be curious to know if everything fits together well. I've tried many articulating prints and only a handful of them actually work. Most joints are too tight or too loose.

That thing looks really nice stained. I never would have though to try and stain the filament afterwards, even if it was the wood type.

This really caught me by surprise as I haven't seen it done like this yet.... would you be willing to make a dual hot end in the same type of platform? While 3 is crazy impressive, I think some of us that might be trying to achieve dual status would be very interested in something like this. There w...

Oh man! Been gone a couple weeks and look what I'm missing. The build area is a bit of a bummer, but I haven't seen any of these resin printers that can do larger print areas. This resin technology is really picking up though and I'm sure it won't be long before the print area and the media area a h...

At 30-40 dollars, it's hard to expect a quality supply.
