Re: Max output voltage of PSU?

I use a cheap 2a power supply to power up my lightning. They cost like u$3.
Add a switch and you are done.

Re: I want to install the Accelerometer board on my Romax V2

Hi, current set up goes like this (from Top to Bottom): 0.03" PEI sheet Boro Glass 3mm Aluminum Heat Spreader Onyx Edit: Thanks Michael, I've heard nothing but good things about the Duet. It's on my wish list. But for now, I'm going to wait to see (is that grammatically right?XD) what people th...

Re: I want to install the Accelerometer board on my Romax V2

Ok, good to know the temperature issue was just a 3D printer myth. I read it somewhere and got stuck inside my brain. I don't mind making a custom adapter, but removing the adhesive from the PEI to paint it seems like a lot of work. I'm between crossroads. Get the Duet + FSR/probe/something that aut...

Re: I want to install the Accelerometer board on my Romax V2

FSR + heated bed? I mostly print ABS and if I recall FSR don't like high temperatures.
and what about an IR height sensor? better? worst? does it play nice with PEI?

Re: Max output voltage of PSU?

I just increased the voltage of the PSU to 14vDC and measured the bed mosfet of the Rambo. Be warned, it does get hot. While heating (from 0º to 60º) it got to 54ºc Now that it's just regulating, it went down to 35ºc All other mosfets (hotend, fans, etc) 23ºc I guess that when printing ABS, with a b...

Re: Max output voltage of PSU?

You are correct Eric, the best thing is not to pull more than 80% of their maximum power. Either way, yes. I also think a 30a psu can handle the load at 14,5v. If anyone is interested, regarding this: the output voltage is set to 13v. The maximum amperage will decrease to 27.7? or it will remain of ...

Re: Max output voltage of PSU?

Actually, I did have the bed with a SSR+24v setup combo, but my fotek failed recently (worked fine for almost 2 years). An Auber one is on it's way, but in the meantime I was considering bumping up the voltage of the 12v psu. It's taking forever for the bed to heat now :/ Thanks for the heads up guy...

Re: Max output voltage of PSU?

I was scared of turning the screw down too much and break the power supply. But still did it and found out that the max output voltage is 14.98vDC and the minimum 10,48vDC. Now I wonder what are the drawbacks of powering the whole printer with 14,5vDC... The bed would appreciate the higher voltage. ...

Max output voltage of PSU?

Sorry, I didn't know where to start this thread. I have a 12v 30a PSU and was wondering up to how much I can (safely) increase its voltage output. 13v? 14v? more? One more thing, if lets say, the output voltage is set to 13v. The maximum amperage will decrease to 27.7? or it will remain of 30a? The ...

Re: No Configuration.h Tab?

You need to extract all of the files from the .zip file and then point to them in the arduino IDE. It looks like you're trying to run against the .zip file itself. Re: No Configuration.h Tab?

Some time ago I tried uploading the firmware with the latest release of ArduinoIDE and it didn't work. I've been using release 1.0.5-R2 ever since and never had an issue: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/OldSoftwareReleases#1.0.x Also, from where did you download the firmware? Post the link. Re: Duet WiFi on Rostock Max update

Thanks, it might seem silly but those quick tips gave me the push to start reading Duet's wiki page, which is a bit overwhelming at first. I've Wantai motors (42BYGHW811P1), with a rated current of 2.5a and it looks like the DuetWifi production board can handle 2.5a. Can I do the upgrade using this ...

Re: Motor Current

Under Configuration.h check for this input: #define MOTOR_CURRENT {175,175,175,135,0} // Values 0-255 (RAMBO 135 = ~0.75A, 185 = ~1A) The array of settings is {X,Y,Z,E0,E1} So for the extruder you must change the E0 number. Note tha I have the old Wantai motors and a planetary geared for the extrude...
