Re: Artemis + Y-Adapter + Simplify3D
The only time you /ever/ need to upgrade the Artemis firmware is if Duet3D publishes a new build that has a bug fix or new feature that you want or need. Unlike the RAMBo firmware, every single aspect of how the Artemis firmware works is controlled by the config.g, config-override.g, and other &quo...

Re: 2 INTO 1 DUAL FILAMENT FEED ADAPTER COMPLETE KIT
Glacian, There is no code entered for Tool Change in my S3D profiles. There is only the typical simple start and end commands for the print. It must be relying on the firmware to do the filament swap when switching extruders. Hey AlanZ, already watched your youtube video, your printer is, simple pu...

Artemis + Y-Adapter + Simplify3D
OK, I just upgraded my printer (Artemis) with the Y-Adapter. Already did the changes to config.g file: MS63 P1 D1 H1 F1 G10 P1 S0 R0 I'm using Simplify 3D, so I created a Dual Extruder Setup (fff file). I can print with both extruders NOT AT THE SAME TIME. Individually both are working fine. My prob...

Re: V3.2 Carbon Fiber Rod upgrade
Yes, I forgot to mention, but the height has to be modified as well, otherwise the nozzle falls short to touch the bed. Just one question, are this values for the Artemis? I'm curious because mine has different values for Delta radius (R=150) and printable radius (B=145). Oh, never mind, this is V3...

Y Axis going down when homing
After about a year with my Artemis working fine, the Y axis started making noises while homing. Then, the axis started going down!
It took me a while, but after troubleshooting it happened to be a loose cable, now it is fixed.
Just reporting in case somebody else has the same trouble.
Cheers!

Re: V3.2 Carbon Fiber Rod upgrade
For Artemis, I ended up modifying the printer height instead of the dive height for Z probe. the Artemis gains about 10mm in Z with this new arms.

Carbon Fiber Rod Upgrade for Artemis
It took me a while to realize what parameters to configure after upgrading to a Carbon Fiber rods, so, in case somebody else has same trouble this is what I did (and worked!): Update config.g - For command M665: 1) set Parameter Diagonal Rod Lenght (Parameter L) to new length = 340.5. 2) set Homed h...

Re: First homing: horrible grinding sounds
OK, I think I solved it. The spring side of the red pin wasn't super springy so the contact was not consistent. I pulled it out, bent it out a bit and now it's good. It's now taking its time doing the first probe... I'll post again if I get a first print :) Thanks for all the help! The exact same t...

Re: First homing: horrible grinding sounds
Looking around for pressure advance, looks like a duet setting... I'll look into it. I've tried 3.5-12mm retraction, stuck to 6.5 25-60mm/s retraction speed, right now it's at 25 since that's what the profile has. I upped the travel speed from 100 to 400mm/s and that seemed to do the most at reduci...

I haven't come to the forums for months, and now that I did, I found out about this sad news. I never met Carl in person, but I felt like he was an old friend, always writing something encouraging. If I didn't know the topic, just by reading his opinion (because he ALWAYS answer all posts), I could ...

Re: man sized
@Bubbasnow, this super big ass printer is plainly AWESOME!
How much do you say that you expend on this beauty? rough estimate, of course.
I want to build as big as yours, but before embarking I would like to know costs
Thanks!

This is awesome! I'm glad to see someone else building a big delta. It makes me feel better about my own project. I have a running forum over on the Delta Robot 3D Printers Google group discussing the big delta that I'm building if you're interested in taking a look. https://groups.google.com/forum...

I'm not sure why the STL's are super secretive. They were available for free before the website went down. Actually, there were two versions, one free an the second you have to paid for it. In any case, these files were available to download, under their licence, and it didn't allow to re-distribut...
