Re: Heuristic (AI) calibration for delta printers on Smoothi

I am at a point to where I can upgrade to the newest release of this, just to double check... all I need to do is drag the binary file into the main directory and reboot? or because its an upgrade do i need to put it in the firmware folder?

Thanks

I have not used the lines to arc converter, if you find out that your file size is too big for axis try some other displays.

Re: Smoothieboards unreliable - what new controller to suppo

I don't get why the Duet and BBP teams both decided to write their own firmware - both based on Marlin, of all things. It seems like a pointless duplication of effort. They both could've ported Smoothie to their hardware, added whatever modifications they needed (segmentless moves, nice web interfa...

Re: Raspberry pi octoprint issues

I actually gave up on Octoprint. I could not get my wifi dongle to work no matter what I tried even though it is on the RPi hardware list. I installed Repetier server, latest version after installing a base Raspian install. It works like a charm. Wifi works. I have printed successfully. Set up my m...

Re: Heuristic (AI) calibration for delta printers on Smoothi

I tried your latest firmware.bin and when I do the probe test it seems to slam into the bed. It's like It's trying to move past the bed. I know the FSR's are working because they trigger with the regular Smoothie firmware. What should I look into? make sure the pin assignments didn't change between...

Re: Is your ISP screwing you?

I'm not sure how many people are familiar with the SamKnows project to gather "real" information from ISP's. Basically a few years back, people would sign up for their area and ISP. If selected they would send a pre-configuerd router that tests your ISP and compares against advertised ser...

from their main page: There's nothing more frustrating than bad Internet. You've had enough waiting and teeth grinding to last you a lifetime, so let's get rid of that 7:00 p.m. slowdown. Finally. from their faq: What speeds should I expect? Speeds may vary due to many factors outside of Vivint’s co...

yea it was pretty ambitious to try those threaded style end stops... that being said they did not work as well as i hoped so i went with a lever/screw combo

Is your ISP screwing you?

Welp, i went ahead and changed internet service providers a few months back. Went with a new to the area company "Vivint", they were supposed to be the fastest offered and they probably still are. But speed is not everything, i noticed soon after changing over that i would have horrible co...

i only use rpi to send gcode to my board, there is no specific configuration except kbaud. everything else is configured inside the slicer. remember when you want to use the rpi camera you need to run raspi-config and enable it.
