Very cool! I was eyeballing that about a week ago, but figured I should learn what I haven't got to run already... first.
Thanks!

Thanks!

Calibrating: how far to take it?
Ok, Got through my first round of Calibration. Went pretty well until I crashed the head trying to print. (still needs to be resolved). Got me considering though, Calibration appears to be a moderately regular thing. So I dreamed up a little gizmo to help with the style of calibrating suggested in ...

Re: I'll just drop this here for now
Just looking at the photos, I can see a reduced melamine part count, taller build volume and a stiffer top-end design. g. Looks like the skates cannot travel all the way to the top. The "bracket" holding onto the towers extends below the top plate. Overall build size looks to be pretty close to the ...

Would the nozzles extend down far enough to clear the effector?

Re: Adjusting Tower Rotation with Alpha A/B/C in EEPROM?
Wonder if my laser rangefinder would work? Though, it is more of an architectural scale, so probably not precise enough.

That is all I can think of too... Thanks for confirming it.
but, strange that I had it working all throughout the Calibration. I think I only changed the extruder steps/mm.
mmmm SOoooooo Close! I am not at my machine at the moment. 12 hours to go... tick tock tick tock tick tock....

Crash and Burn!
AHHHHG! Calibrated in... Followed setup (as far as I can tell) Ran test cube job. now the head crashes into to bed. Even my scripts do now. Only thing that I can see that is different is my XY translation I had to set to zero so that it is in the middle of the bed. (gene's pic shows 280) Which, I am ...

David, is this the same as your avatar? Yes, but I have redesigned a few things that aren't shown in the avitar. It will look similar but the manipulator has been replace with a suction dredge/separator module that isn't very appealing to look at... The uglier the breed, the more I like 'em. (Full ...

Re: Vertical Banding Issue
one thing that might be able to be done to test the rounding error hypothesis without having to do all the math... Have the firmware send back the X,Y values to a host terminal.. Can the Host software be modified easily to accept and display such data? Or, is it possible to send basic gCode commands ...

Re: Considering a rostock max?
I'm reading Gene's new install guide right now and see that there are a bunch of connectors and 4 conductor wiring that is still needed. http://www.geneb.org/rostock-max/Rostock-MAX-Assembly-Guide.pdf Page 7 of the guide. Was this the case with your nov build? I would hope that as a "kit" that all ...

Add me to that list who PMd him. I already started to purchase components for the conversion, but a machined set of caps and real studs... sounds much better.

Not tonight. Ran the Tests, and after my initial BH moment was over, all worked as intended. Tomorrow night, Install .91 firmware, and Calibrate. If only I didn't have to get up in 5.5 hrs I'd be at it. Gene read me like a book though... I was pretty giddy and dancing around with from my first G28 ...

Up and Not running
First, the LCD Isn't lit up. I will search for that in a moment. Rambo has power, and there is at least some communication with the r-Host. Second, when I try to. Do an M119 It does nothing. But there appears to be a command suck in the que just prior. Gives me the installed firmware, then Printed ...
