Re: Help!!
You would have to know the tare weight of the spool. Unless your vender is spot on and gives you the weight of the material and not the weight of the spool and material.

Re: Bowden Tube Popping Out
the epoxy probably won't work for long. the PTFE is really tough to get anything to stick to. I think it is what they commonly call Teflon® (too lazy to google it right now) There might be a special epoxy that works with it. I have used special epoxies before that bond to HDPE, another plastic that ...

Re: Extruder Calibration
Prints 7, 8 and 9 in respective order. Print 8 has a wall thickness that is 97.13% of the .055 thickness entered into Repetier. Measured with a micrometer 9 is the Calibration Hollow Cube. outside surface looks fair. No Layer Fan, which might account for the issues I am still seeing on surface. [img ...

Re: Repetier 091 for Rostock MAX now available
it happens every time I send the script from the build manual G28 G0 Z0 X0 Y90 F3500 As well as the other two scripts that send the effector towards one of the towers. If I go straight down, it does not pulse at all. One thing of possible note, mine pulses twice, where the video that was supplied ...

I might be missing something. but puttint a P500 into the script did not change anything.
is it supposed to follow an Mcode?
I don't know if what I am seeing is a problem, right now it is a curiosity.

Re: Repetier 091 for Rostock MAX now available
using this .91 firmware, anytime you G28 you will go down 5mm, then move. you have to change it in firmware if you don't want this to happen. search earlier in this post it will give details on how to set this to 0 and see if that fixes your situation. So the pulse comes from the transition between ...

Re: Repetier 091 for Rostock MAX now available
Got It. I Hope. I adjusted the HORIZONTAL_RADIUS (wound up at 129.5) and readjusted xyz and all axis and center are again perfect. But, is that right? Do we now skip the PRINTER_RADIUS in configuration.h and just do the calibration using the EEPROM HORIZONTAL Radius ? Makes it a lot easier if that ...

Re: Repetier 091 for Rostock MAX now available
Can someone tell my how to avoid this pulsing. I have had it before but I cannot remember what I did to resolve this. I just up graded to the new FW. It only does it if I run the scripts suggested in the manual. (G28 / G0 Z0 X0 Y90 F3500) If I wait for the G28 to complete, then give it a Z0 tower ...

So, yea, the eye rolls I got were deserved. Took me a bit, to realize that pushing the paper is a lot better of an indicator than pulling it. that is, If I can get just to that threshold of where the paper will slip between the bed and nozzle by pushing it (grabbing the same point on the paper each ...

Re: Repetier 091 for Rostock MAX now available
So, what should the PRINTER_RADIUS/HORIZONTAL_RADIUS be if there were no need to adjust? Just wondering if the amount of adjustment would be a good indication of how well it would be put together? I suppose, it would be the number that came stock, but I already modified it, and don't recall. How far ...

Re: Repetier 091 for Rostock MAX now available
I did mine according to the manual. and I got it to work. Gosh, unless I forgot to set the eeprom back. I will have to check that tonight when I get back. I know I went back twice to edit the .h file. I thought I was out of calibration because I head crashed on my very first attempt. Once I fixed ...

Ok... here they are. Goofed on some of the settings, but did not notice until after the 4th attempt. 200ºC Nozzle 0ºC Bed (though it was reading at 22º) PEEK Fan on No Layer fan yet Here is the 4th print that is a quasi success ( I am happy it looks this good) [img]http://www.neurascenic.com/show/Ro ...

Looks Phenominal!; I will have to say, if only to protect my state of mind, I don't regret getting the RoMax a mere month ago.
tweaking it tweaks my brain. at my age, it is a good thing.

Kind of. I suppose, I am being a little resistant, not because I think I am smarter... Just because I am a stubborn ass that way. My idea, would be to pull horizontally, to try to eliminate any lifting of the head. granted, it would not be perfect. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate your critique ...

Re: Calibrating: how far to take it?
had to look up go no go gauge... Clearly, smarter people out there than I. but, I think I could actually measure frictional differences within the thickness of a piece of paper. Maybe. Could it be possible to get a go no go guage set to that kind of tolerance?
TDI... yea.
