Re: E3D Titan on E3D V6?
I think thats more like max current or its rated for that at lower voltage. Try 85 or 100 or something a bit lower.

Re: E3D Titan on E3D V6?
You probably have the stepper wired incorrectly, i.e. you don't have the poles matched up properly. You can find out which one goes with the other by trying to turn the motor with two of the wires shorted together. There will be a bit of resistance when you try to turn the motor if you have the corr...

Would you like some help? I'm not as experienced as you but I'm fairly adept with different dev tools and languages.

Re: Not very impressed with Smoothie
DC has been writing/building his branch in Eclipse (https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/blob/dev/BuildInstructions.txt). I'm not sure how good the organization is, but I feel like the Duet is the true all in one controller, especially with the release of the new DuetWifi. If it would convince you...

Re: underextruding, but only around circles?
Grey, silver, and white materials always have weird fillers and colorants to get them to be that color (ABS is off white and very slightly translucent normally, the white stuff becomes almost chalky and the grey stuff seems to be about the same. This is true even for more premium suppliers (eg Ultim...

Re: underextruding, but only around circles?
I use KISS and it asks me to specify line widths. The 110% number came from the older RepRap days, I've just had the best results with this IME. The slicer does calculate how much material it needs to extrude, but it needs a width and height for the trace to calculate volume. Was that the top of the...

What is your extrusion width set to? It should be around 110% of the nozzle diameter. What hotend are you using?

Re: A string of misfortune involving this printer and/or project
I would check out the new thermistor cartridges E3D sells. It would require a new heater block (or some machining if you have access to a drill press or better yet a mill) but it would be way way way more reliable and easier to setup.

Re: burnt plastic dropping into print
You can probably run retraction up to 2-3mm (I assume you mean 1.2mm and not 12mm), though I'm not certain where it should be for PETG. Also I use 1mm z-hop. Since were on deltas its no big deal. Even on a cartesian I run around .3 or so. How fast are you retracting? That would also play into things...

Re: Thermistor problems
That isn't an E3D V6, unless they changed the design a whole lot. Where did you buy your hotend from? It should be longer (more rectangular), and E3D uses dots to "code" the nozzle size, they don't actually etch the number into the nozzle. They also recently switched to cartridge temp sens...

Re: My Rostock Max V2 has gone into reverse.
The x and y values don't have to mach the Z. I'm pretty sure the firmware ignores them. I wasn't aware of what happens when you set z max length to be negative. Thats sure a new one.

Re: My Rostock Max V2 has gone into reverse.
Seems like the endstop switches are "triggered" somehow. Check that they are still connected/not activated. Its moving down a little bit because of the homing routine. It moves up quickly until the endstops are triggered, then moves down a few mm and back up slowly until they are triggered...

Sounds like your endstops aren't wired correctly. The board thinks they are triggered so they won't move up.

Re: Need help with understanding New Calibration issue
The V1 and V2 likely have different pulleys with different steps per mm. The v2 should be 80 if its a 20 tooth pulley on a 1.8 degree stepper with 16x microstepping. Youre off by a factor of 3/4ths on steps per mm. Using this ratio, a 20x20mm cube would be 26x26 (invert 3/4 to 4/3 and multiply by 20...

Re: Endstops, is Hall Effect an Upgrade?
I thought it was in the newer versions but I haven't really checked those parts lately. Its in EEPROM. Something like homing offsets or something similar. Theres one for each tower. I don't even have screws in my carriages, the wood of the carriages just hit the switches. You could either screw the ...

Re: Endstops, is Hall Effect an Upgrade?
You shouldn't be relying on screws, use the software home offsets. Its way more reliable/repeatable. Also it has no problems with nonlinearity of the homing sensors.

I hate to burst your bubble but this may not work because of reasons detailed here https://www.duet3d.com/forum/thread.php?id=29 The gist is both SPI channels are used for things currently (though rereading I see that the channels can be shared if cables are short). One is for communicating with the...

The only thing that is changing is the ethernet to wifi, and we already gave suggestions on how to overcome your problem (very inexpensively I might add). Its so easy to find an old router laying around, maybe you upgraded from your ISP or something and you kept the router, or maybe theres a local m...
