Re: Problem during autocalibration

V1 convert to full V3, nothing kept from V1 but the controller and steppers

I am having the same problem, I noticed the G-Code has changed since last year. It has been 8 months since I used my Max because I cannot seem to get a good first layer and key calibration is always drifting.

Do you have any teaser pics to show? We would all love to see your progress! Also the improvement in the dog bones is very impressive!

Another SeemeCNC Probe Connector Failure

I need to find a more robust connector for my hotend (v6 with Accel board and 713Maker mount). The accelerator probe connector, even upgraded with the white locking connector from Digi-key is not going to work. I just had another 15.5h print fail at the last 15 minutes due to the connector coming of...

Re: Coming soon from 713Maker.com

That is great news, I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Also thank you for addressing the dog bone issue, it was the only thing I did not like. Finally I would love to see a add-on or even separate kit to allow for an enclosure. I print exclusively in ABS and would gladly pay for a profe...

Filament Storage Processes

I am still using the same ABS filament I purchased in 2013 and have begun to wonder if filament storage with respect to ABS is really as big of a deal as people thought it once was. I have 10 rolls of ABS that I keep in their own box and bag, aside from that I don't do much else. The bags all have d...

Re: Coming soon from 713Maker.com

Are there any pricing and availability updates? Also is there any chance that a smaller tool can be used at the corners so as to reduced the over rounding of the corners? I understand that a perfect 90 corner would not be reasonable, but something less "hole punched" would be nice. Either ...

Re: Well my Rambo melted

Just an FYI but you can buy a new connector block on DIGI Key for a few dollars assuming the board is ok. Looks like you had a loose wire that caused extra resistance and therefor heat at the connector. Here is just one way to fix it... http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?t=8809 The manufacture ...

Re: Rostock MAX v3 Bed Leveling Data Evaluation Request

I am still having issues getting the bed to be consistent however, considering the degree of measurement the probe gives us, this could be normal. The process has gone from a piece of paper and a "feeling" to a readout with what seems to be 0.01mm repeatability. What I have found out is th...

Rostock MAX v3 Bed Leveling Data Evaluation Request

I recently finished converting my RMAX v1 into a v3, everything that was not v3 has been scrapped. My hopes were that I would finally have access to my entire bed to print larger objects. I have used G29 and the auto calibration webpage to level the bed to within "0.04" but larger prints s...

Sounds great, any estimates on cost? I assume this will just replace the melamine pieces since the injected nylon is already ridged.... ?

Re: Poor 1st Layer Adhesion Between X & Z

I had some time this weekend to work on my printer before I head off to Germany on a BT next week. It seems my layer adhesion trouble has more to do with thermal variation through out my bed than nozzle spacing. Using an old non contact temp gun I was able to find out two things, number one 80C on t...

Re: Poor 1st Layer Adhesion Between X & Z

I have used the online option. I have held off on Octopie thinking I may go duet, but I wanted to keep the accelerator probe.

Bed tilt does seem an good way to describe it aside from the error is not equal across the centerline of the bed.

Poor 1st Layer Adhesion Between X & Z

I recently completed my v1 to v3 conversion and am amazed at how much better the entire build process and final product is in just 3 short years. For the first time since I bought my v1 in 2013 have I been able to print the 265mm circular test print with decent results. However I am still getting is...

Re: v3 Maximum PSP Voltage Setting

I am sorry for the slow response, been a busy week at work..... I finally had a chance to measure the resistance of my heated bed at the solder pads (@20C) and was meant with 1.2ohms. That coupled with a voltage of 14.6v would yield a current draw of about 12.2A. However, considering the other facto...

Re: v3 Tower Alignment Issue

This may be a non issue after all..... After I realized the surface of the melamine is not always perpendicular to the towers, I reinstalled the glass, which is flat and used that as my reference. I found that over the length of my X & Y towers they are square to the bed (@20C) by an error small...

v3 Tower Alignment Issue

Is there anyway to adjust the alignment of the towers? My v1 could be adjusted but the v3 seems pretty locked in. The variance is not that bad however, I would like to close the gap. The opening in the melamine allows for very little if any adjustment. Any help is appreciated. BTW I am trying to cor...

Re: v3 Maximum PSP Voltage Setting

You both make good points, I will have to measure the current through the circuit and see what the actual value is. I did not think much about increasing the voltage as the circuit is fused however, since the Rambo now only sinks the current, I am not sure if the fuse projection is Still active. Als...

v3 Maximum PSP Voltage Setting

Hello Everyone, I have just finished upgrading my old v1 to a v3 and am going through the calibration process now. As with my v1 my bed times were so slow, in fact even with the Bed Drive Max set to 255 my bed would timeout on the autotune to 70C. So I checked the PSP and it was putting out a nice 1...

Re: V1 Max Post Ball Cup Arm & Carriage Issues

I have used the same profile for years in Repeiter, I also loaded Mater Control last night using the Rostock profile and had the same issues. I wonder though, does Genes tower calibration script position the center of the end effector at the edge of the bed or has it always been about 70mm from the ...

V1 Max Post Ball Cup Arm & Carriage Issues

Hello All, I am not sure what I did wrong but my trusty V1 is no longer moving the end effector to the edge of the bed. V1/V2 Upgrade to V3 Kit Status?

Has anyone heard if there will be a way to upgrade a V1/V2 to a V3 as with the previous version? There are so many improvements since V1 not to mention new equipment (hotend, extruder, power supply) that I have my doubts. I would just like to know for sure so I can either consider buying a V3 to com...

Re: Print issue - skew

Based on the picture with the red circle, it appears your print partially delaminated from the glass. As it lifted up it moved the edge of your print towards the center of the bed and resulted in the slanted result. Print a quick single wall box of the same approximate size and I bet it will not be ...
