Re: Last straw? Complete hotend failure today - heater fault, nothing happening now.
it will do that if it's near the bed while it's on, but shouldn't cause any issues during printing. The Duet will ignore the sensor input during printing. g. I suppose I spoke too soon in that on top of the Z probe thing, the console does tell me right from powerup that the tool heater is in a ther...

Re: Last straw? Complete hotend failure today - heater fault, nothing happening now.
The new SE300 showed up, and I have just traded one problem for another. Now, rather than a thermal fault on the hotend, it's the Z probe being constantly triggering - between steady-on and rapid flickering at all times.

Re: Last straw? Complete hotend failure today - heater fault, nothing happening now.
I bit the bullet and ordered a new hotend with 2 day shipping at 50 bucks instead of 1 day at over 100 (ugh). I love these machines but it's painful to have to replace big components.

Last straw? Complete hotend failure today - heater fault, nothing happening now.
In the middle of a print that I needed to complete a time-sensitive project by tonight... Heater fault on my hotend. Was printing at a typical 210 - I used the same temp and profile earlier today for a print and it was fine - when this print just stopped, indicating a heater fault. I read here in th...

Re: New strangeness: Have to level/G32 every print now?
Happy to say that something somehow worked here but I am not entirely sure what - I did add the flexible magnetic plate and that has helped a ton with warping. Sadly now I have to start another thread about what may be a killer error

No reply from corporate in my PMs but I will look into that 3.4.4 upgrade... Update: can't find the update nor the instructions on upgrading.

Did the belt thing - tried to adjust the bottom pulleys to increase and even out the tension, but it didn't help. Fingers crossed Part Papa can assist.

New strangeness: Have to level/G32 every print now?
I've gotten a few huge orders lately and noticed a lot of print failures - missing skirts, partially-moved base layers (like they got pushed out of the way but stayed enough to support normal upper layers), etc - to the point I realized that I now have to run the leveling script pretty much before e...

Re: Once more - stopped working with no warning after another stint of flawlessness. This time it's the SD card?
@PartDaddy - anyone? Connected to the printer over USB to try to send some commands... got it to connect to the wifi, but still the machine thinks it just doesn't have an SD card in it or something. m552 WiFi module is disabled<LF>ok<LF> m552 s0 ok<LF>WiFi module started<LF> m552 s1 ok<LF>WiFi modul...

Re: Once more - stopped working with no warning after another stint of flawlessness. This time it's the SD card?
hey @geneb I wanted to post an update because it somehow got worse. Talking with the D3D people they indicated that it was just the SD going bad as well, so I finally was able to replace it. - Pulled all the files off the old SD except a couple that had an i/o error (maybe the root cause of the issu...

I can back it up to PC, yes; I actually loaded a new model onto it last night directly from the computer in order to start on this customer order.
Is there any reason for something like that to just work for 2 years or so and then decide to no longer?

Once more - stopped working with no warning after another stint of flawlessness. This time it's the SD card?
OK - SO - after recent troubles I upgraded my Artemis's firmware and it was like having a brand new machine all over again. Flawless leveling, amazing prints, even faster and cleaner than before. But just today, I went to upload a new model to it over the Duet Wifi, and got this error: Your Duet rej...

Re: Once more with the Duet Wifi - totally stuck on the no networks/wifi idle msg
I'm really glad you got it working! Great catch on the 2.4Ghz restriction - I wasn't aware of that myself! (All of my WiFi access points use different names for the two different radios, so I NEVER would have caught this myself.) g. I didn't even know my wifi had both bands on the same ssid until I...

Re: Once more with the Duet Wifi - totally stuck on the no networks/wifi idle msg
Well, I just spent an hour sweating in my printer room going through EVERYTHING - it's all up at 3.2.2 now, wifi is up at 1.25.... And no dice. Exact same thing again. It just fails to get on the network: every M552 S1 yields an endless stream of "no known networks found, wifi module is idle.&q...

Re: Once more with the Duet Wifi - totally stuck on the no networks/wifi idle msg
Are you sending commands to the board via the screen, or via the usb cable? If you're using the screen, try using the USB cable. You'll need a serial terminal (YAT works) to talk to the board. I *think* the baud rate is 115200, but I'm not sure. That should be easy to look up though. I flinched at ...

Re: Once more with the Duet Wifi - totally stuck on the no networks/wifi idle msg
Well Gene - sadly, their recommendation of reloading the firmware (M997) did not solve the issue, even though the command itself worked. I'm really baffled at how many issues I've had with my Artemis that I didn't have with the Rmax - not that the max was perfect, but its one big issue was simply re...

Once more with the Duet Wifi - totally stuck on the no networks/wifi idle msg
Went to print this morning after some 3 days of downtime in which my artemis was turned off, but today it's just constantly repeating that there are no networks and wifi is idle. M552 S-1 stops the module OK, M552 S0 starts it ok. M587 alone yields no known networks even though it's been running fin...

Re: Cura 4.8 setup woes now...
I think I forgot to reply to this, Gene - Yeah, with my Duet it wouldn't accept blind character entry, though oddly if I just hit 1s all the way across, it went about 6-8 more characters than when I was trying to enter the ssid/pwd combo. YAT is what ended up working this time around, used just for ...

Re: FS: RMax V4, DC Area
Just dropped the price a bunch because I definitely can't afford to have both machines packed and moved, and I discovered neither will fit in my Jeep alongside, yknow, the humans that are making the trip with me. I'm pretty sure I can fit it as is, unpacked, to drive and meet someone though. Within ...

I wonder if the OP ever got that figured out. My new Artemis is doing it a lot too - the classic 'you're too low or trying to feed too fast' backlash, but I've changed the babystepping, increased the temp, lowered the speed...

Re: Cura 4.8 setup woes now...
I would check the start gcode to make sure that it's not trying to prime too much. I just looked at the git repo for the Artemis and I found that both Unload scripts had the M109 command commented out. I've emailed them about this - un-comment the lines in your local files. g. One success: I basica...
