Thanks, I'll replace the power supply.
Glad it's something simple.

sudden under-voltage barrage.
I'd been getting amazing prints out of my Artemis, until the past week. All of a sudden, every print over 1 hour long is spoiled by repeated under-voltage events. Troubleshooting steps I've tried so far: Disconnecting the panelDue with no improvement, Slowing down the print with no improvement. Turn...

I'm starting to get this problem, too. I just had my second 12+ hour print (overnight) fail because of heater fault '12:05:19 AMWarning: Tool 0 was not driven because its heater temperatures were not high enough or it has a heater fault' and then when I reset it I got '7:19:43 AMError: Heating fault...

I am, but it also might be the firmware and there is a new release out.
My Artemis as v.1.19 and 1.21 was released last week.

Heating it up and then gently prying it up w/ a paint scraper did the trick.

Re: how do I change the glass build plate on the Artemis?
thanks, it does seem to be fused, I tried lifting it with a paint scraper. Some strong surface tension. I'll try it again when it's hot.

What are your new Simplify3D settings with pressure advance? I'm getting a lot of stringing when I try it.

how do I change the glass build plate on the Artemis?
I can't seem to lift it off of the aluminum heat spreader.
I purchased a ready to print model, so I didn't build it myself.
I just want to clean it, there isn't anything wrong with it.
thanks,
-sandy

Re: Artemis extruder calibration question - even weirder
There's definitely something wrong - when I try to extrude any filament using the Duet-wifi web interface button, the EZR struder just studders and doesn't forward the filament. Temps 205, 200, 195, speeds 30, 15. But, when I slowed it way down to 5mm/sec . I found out what is really going on. I mar...

Re: Artemis extruder calibration question
F30 and F15 are gcode for the speed the filament is extruded. I've tried both with the duet-web extrude button, and with gcode commands (FYI, I have a duet-wifi on my Rostock v1, upgraded to Metal Max - so I'm familiar with the board and the printer) Yes, I measured the length of the filament going ...

Artemis extruder calibration question
My Artemis arrived and I ran the test print Benchy that came out well. Then I tried something else with a bridge that came out quite badly. So, first step calibrate the extruder, but when I tried, I found something that surprised me. I measured 120mm, had the printer extrude 100mm at 205C and F30 an...

Re: False starts with latest MC?
I'm having the same problem. OS X 10.9.4, Latest repetier, MC 1.1.3 - in 1.1.2 I had some freezing very early in the print print, now that plus stopping about 100mm above platform. No amount of 'cancel' works, and terminal shows the commands just stop.

Multicolor with a single extruder/hot end
After covering myself with ink (and completely destroying the Red sharpie) I discovered you can carefully take apart a sharpie w/ a pair of pliers. You can then remove the plastic wrapped ink reservoir, cut it open with a sharp blade and wrap it around the filament before it gets pulled into the ez-...

Re: trouble with the klcd screen
I had this problem, too. If you stand completely to the side of the circuit board(perpendicular to it) and look down the side at the screen - can you read any of the characters? If so, your potentiometer is turned way, way too high. If you look at the back of the board there is a tiny potentiometer ...

Re: weird ezstruder motor prob-FIXED! Gene is short for Geni
I think you just have to swap the two cables on the rambo, I remember trying to be super careful to keep it straight and still got it backwards. I'll check again. But, I think they are okay, because start up in Repetier-Host can tell whether or not an SDcard is present. I wonder if contrast is too ...

Re: weird ezstruder motor prob-FIXED! Gene is short for Geni
This! One thing I don't get, was where the problem was. I diffed my old and default config files and only my particular settings were different. I wonder what got messed up in my EPROM? Before this I hadn't realized that resetting the main board didn't clear the EPROM, but duh, of course it wouldn't.

Repetier-Host for Mac users - tip
Not long ago, a mac user was having what seemed like motor or power issues. Here's something I discovered recently, when my airbook froze while my extruder was running. If you can't get the motor to run when you push the extrude button in the print panel menu, look for a lock file. Close Repetier-Ho...

Yeah, I'm gonna snapshot these settings for both Config.h and Eprom - I'm also deleting *all* of the old versions of the firmware I have lying around on my mac.
Someday soon (after finals) I'm going to write up a post on Weird issues I have had, and their solutions. Maybe it will help somebody else.

Re: weird ezstruder motor problem---Fixed!
Actually, If I set EPROM_MODE 0 -- then I can get the effector all the way down to the platform, but if I then reenable EPROM_MODE it goes back to the same problem.
I forgot to set STEPS_PER_MM to 106.67 in the EPROM

Re: weird ezstruder motor problem - partially fixed
Hi Gene, That did fix the extruder problem! Yay! Your reputation as a miracle worker remains intact! But... it caused a different one. Now my machine thinks the Z height is ~70mm shorter than it really is. Following your suggestions, I cleared the EPROM and installed a freshly downloaded 091 Firmwar...

I've now tried a different motor and different wires and connector. Same problem.
Do you think SeemeCNC would be willing to let me trade this one in for one that works? I can't afford this (money, or time) and noone can say I have done everything possible to get a working printer.
