Re: Benchy - could someone help?
I am in the "trial" period of S3D, and believe it or not I like Cura 2.3 about the same, with a few exceptions, and this is one of them. The gcode generated by S3D with Coast got rid of the strings and doesn't cause the extruder to click like the Curator gcode. I'm just not very well verse...

Re: Really rough benchy wall corners (blobbing?)
I've used Coast with good result and haven't needed to try Wipe yet, but try them both as they could both have a positive effect. Temps are also so variable between different thermistor setups that you may be able to dial the nozzle temp back still. When trying to fix a problem like this, approach i...

Re: Really rough benchy wall corners (blobbing?)
If you have S3D, try enabling "Coast at End", maybe 0.5mm, and align seams near the back under the "Layer" tab.'
Try printing at a lower speed, too. See if any of those help.

Re: How to setup for Rostock?!
Hey rabbit, I just made a post about this to show what worked for me. I've successfully printed several things since then using Cura to create gcode and Mattercontrol as a host. Hope it helps.

Benchy - could someone help?
Hey everyone, I've steadily improving print quality since I started with a Rostock Max in Dec 2015. It has been a great printer. One thing that always plagued me was stringing, probably due to the long bowden setup - even with 6mm+ retraction. I figured out how to get the Max v2 to work with Cura 2....

Re: How to use Cura 2.3.1 with the Rostock Max v2
Bad picture, but the "coast" feature COMPLETELY eliminated stringing.
These were printed with virtually the same settings, but the cubes on left sliced and printed with Mattercontrol, cubes on right sliced, Coasting enabled, with Cura and printed with MC.

How to use Cura 2.3.1 with the Rostock Max v2
Hey everyone - Let me first say that the info I found here was invaluable to actually getting this to work: http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=10396 I really wanted to try Cura as Mattercontrol has been very slow for me in the recent releases (even changing settings takes forever bet...

Re: New version: 2.1.2
Everyone, I'm going to start a new thread with how I got Cura 2.3.1 to (mostly) work. greyghost's work was a big part of figuring something out.

Re: New version: 2.1.2
I'm going to give your latest .json a shot as Cura looks like it has more settings that I'd like to try as incrementally improve my prints. Having such a long bowden setup makes me think the "coast" settings my be really helpful for stringing, coupled with proper retraction. Really hope I ...
