It is GHDAD1, though if that has stopped working you can google GearBest coupon and find one usually.

Re: E3D V6 Thermister Cartridge Solder to Accelerometer - Getting a Divorce

No worries replying to this post, it was a bust. Got it all set up, powered it on, and blew a fuse. Just put it up for sale in the members market and Craigslist. Thanks for all the help up to this point :)

Re: Rostock MAX V3 Extruder Chewing Up Filament

The problem is, if your issue is anything like mine, that the gap is so small that the plastic disk it starts making is so thin that you can measure all day long and won't be able to tell. You just have to tighten the bowden tube down, say a prayer, sacrifice a unicorn, and hope its seated properly....

Re: Rostock MAX V3 Extruder Chewing Up Filament

Good luck brother, I thought I solved it and had a good solid week plus of flawless printing and it came back, and nothing I have done troubleshooting wise will get rid of it this time. I have two HE280's and both of them do the same thing. Either I'm unlucky or the design is garbage (solely speakin...

E3D V6 Thermister Cartridge Solder to Accelerometer - Getting a Divorce

Howdy All, Want to make sure I'm doing this right before I start cutting and soldering. Got my E3D mount kit/effector plate (for Max 3) from 713Maker, and everything is going great minus two things: The cartridge thermistor doesn't reach the accelerometer board, not even close. It comes with the red...

Re: So many strings

Have you ever gotten that to work with the HE280? I've tried those settings in every temp in the low range with multiple brands of filament and slow speeds and still have had bad stringing with those settings. The only filament it looked ok on was my stock of colored transparent filaments, but not s...

Re: Will insurance cover a home fire?

I have USAA and have it in writing that they cover it. But they also covered one side of the house that I burned up when my full soda can ashtray blew off the deck and into the bushes along the side of the house, waking up at 5AM with a wall of flame outside my bedroom window. So usaa is awesome and...

Re: Building an enclosure

I'm building mine out of a hydroponics tent. I'm going to cut a drop down hole in my workbench that the Rostock Max V3 base will slide down into to cut off the power supply from the heat, and the tent seals right into the bottom of the top platform. Will give a decent wide arc all around and can eas...

Re: HE280 heater decoupled

If you tightened the washer down to hard or with the weak little arms outside of the track you could have caused a short like I did where the thermistor wire was touching the hot end. Side note, you can solder up a car fuse to your blown fuse. That's what I did while waiting the 2 weeks for a replac...

Something to consider in your price range is the PowerSpec Ultra 3D Printer, which is a way cheaper rebadged version of the FlashForge Dreamer. $599 vs $1099, though you can find them open box all the time as people give up on 3D printing and return them. http://www.microcenter.com/product/448607/Ul...

I'm up to 9 printers, but here is my next printer, well next two as I just ordered two of them: http://www.gearbest.com/3d-printers-3d-printer-kits/pp_441281.html The build volume is huge for the price, 300 x 300 x 400, and with a coupon the price was $369 shipped. Heated bed - check. The kit is alm...

Whoever determined that your midterm grade would be your first print on on a new printer that you built, especially a Rostock V3 that is a good deal more challenging than your average i3 clone, is both a sadist and doesn't know much about 3D printing.

I solved this mystery just to follow up, it was a setting in Simplify3D. For some reason I had the option checked to include a solid diaphragm in the infill every 10 layers. Duh me.

Are there no 3-D printable E3D V6 options right now? I just had one delivered today, and I stupidly assumed that someone must have made a mount already, but can't seem to locate a mount that integrates the accel board.

Your power supply needs to be kicking out more juice. Keep the tester on it and adjust the potentiothingamabobby on the power supply until you are in the mid to high 12's. at least that worked for me when I had a similar issue

No problem. I am glad you were able to get back to printing. This seems to be the most common issue with this printer.
