Yep. Definitely NOT a 100% success rate. I've done this multiple times in a row to no avail. Finally had to take it apart, jam some tweezers down in the heatsink to get it to come loose, and pull it out. It then worked for about an hour and a half before it quit in the middle of a build.
Lovely.

Raspi Setup Question
Just needing a clarification. I've got the USB cord that I'd used to connect the rostock to my computer connected to the raspi unit instead of my computer. I've got the sd card imaged with Astrobox. Now, to get things booted up correctly, do I use the mini-sd card portion and plug it directly into t...

Re: First Print Great, then Blown Hotbed Thermistor
Sure, here's a couple of pics of it. The only reason I could tell at first that it was the problem was because I could see pieces of it reflecting from the glass top that was on top. You can kind of see shards of it in the bottom pic, but also posted a close up. Hoping that I just had it too far thr...

First Print Great, then Blown Hotbed Thermistor
So, did my first print, and it actually worked great! Loaded the second print onto the Matter Control software, and then got a hardware error....upon examining it, it looks like the little glass piece of the thermistor right under the glass bed of the hotbed blew up! Replacing it is going to be a pa...

Re: I seem to have created a mini-jackhammer. Any help appreciated.
Twingert, So, mine ended up being completely installed wrong where none of the switches could engage at the top. (I had the top panel upside down when I'd installed everything on it thinking at the end it would flip over to be put on upside down. So had to redo everything.) Now, all of the switches ...

It's a new build and definitely ended up being a good stretch outside my comfort zone!

I seem to have created a mini-jackhammer. Any help appreciated.
So, for some reason, my calibration isn't working out as well as I'd hoped. When I did the video, it went towards the X axis and did the mini jackhammer thing, although when I first tried to calibrate it, it did the same thing toward the Y axis. If anyone has any ideas to troubleshoot, I'd definitel...

Re: Installing Raspberry Pi Upgrade using 2 Power Cords
Thank You Xenocrates...Ok....I think I understand. What I'd meant was that the Pi is connected to the Rambo with the usb cord/printer connector cord thingie. The Rambo is powered from the power supply. And in lieu of making a wire whip to power the Raspberry Pi, I can just use a 5.25V Micro USB powe...

Installing Raspberry Pi Upgrade using 2 Power Cords
So, question....I purchased the Raspberry Pi separately off of amazon as SeeMeCNC was out of that option for the printer. I've got it mounted, and have the USB cable going from the Rambo to the Pi. In step 13, it shows to Install a custom wire whip for power between the Rambo and the Raspberry Pi. I...

Adding RasPi Later
So, I'm about to purchase a v3, and would prefer it with the RasPi, but they're sold out of those currently. If I purchase the printer without it, is it possible to just purchase the RasPi when more come in and install it later, or is it a huge pain to install it after I've already built the printer...
