Trick Laser Max Metal Frame with Extras - 300 shipped
So after having this project sit on my bench for quite a while I have decided to see if anyone wants to pick it up. Here is what I have: Max Metal Frame with FSR brackets and plate. Trick laser carbon fiber arms Makerhive wiring harness installed in frame. Aluminum spool holder Aluminum heat spreade...

Re: Unable to calibrate better than .18
So I swapped all my parts to a Tricklaser Max Metal frame. First calibration attempt was .06 and that is with me forgetting to tension the belts. I did use new FSRs but I was having calibration issues before I even moved to duet so I think I just had something wonky going on mechanically. Going to o...

Re: Unable to calibrate better than .18
I didn't see any significant play or movement in the carriages. I went back through the pulleys and belts today and nothing seems loose or anything. I switched out the effector assembly back to the stock one to rule that out and got the same results and same basic map. I switched two carriages aroun...

Re: Unable to calibrate better than .18
My carriages do have small hairline cracks near the screws but I have had these since I first assembled it. Maybe its becoming an issue now. image.png I also have noticed that on some probes my effector and hotend seem to tilt/wobble when they hit the bed. Should the assembly stay very solid during ...

Re: Unable to calibrate better than .18
So after a lot of reading I decided I would give a Duet FSR setup a try. I have finished installing a Duet wifi, Ultibot FSR kit, and Tricklaser FSR plate. The best I can come up with is .08 using a 100 probe radius. If I try and back out the radius to 135 I get more like .16 deviation which is clos...

Unable to calibrate better than .18
So not sure what has happened. I have a v3 with e3d v6 that has been working just fine. I auto calibrate with the Octoprint plugin and always come in around .08 to .02. Here is the series of events that occurred recently: - I started noticing leveling issues on prints though I was still getting good...

Need help with setting going from KISS 1.5 to 1.6
Hello, I just moved over to KISS 1.6 and I am so happy that it has eliminated my on going stringing problem with PLA. I just need help understanding how to make perimeter walls print with infill. Side by side example in the picture. Not sure how to control that. Printing with a RSM V3 E3d V6 with .5...

First layer issue with nozzle being too close
So I just switched to an e3d v6 on my v3. Mounted the HE280 probe board using the trick laser kit. Calibration seems to be working fine (rand G29 and then Octoprint plugin) but my first layer is just a faint line and filament oozes out as soon as I have a lift. The 2nd layer come out ok. Prints grea...

Re: OctoPrint Delta Calibration Plugin!
I reverted everything back to make sure and I still get the exact same calibration results so I must have done something when I moved the machine. Aside from squaring the towers, is there some simple things to check? EDIT: Ok, so I ran the web delta calculator. Once I had those new settings loaded, ...

Re: OctoPrint Delta Calibration Plugin!
So I have been using the Octoprint plugin for months now just fine. When I ran it I would get a deviation of .02 or so after I ran the plugin. Today, I updated the printer firmware to the latest, reinstalled Octopi and updated to the latest, and installed the plugin. I ran a calibration from the LCD...

Re: Super stringy prints, help!
Is there a write-up on how to properly pull the hot end apart once it has had plastic through it? Agreed, +1. I think I'm having the same problem and may need to clean out the HE280 and make sure all the parts are installed correctly. I have to apply a good bit of pressure to get PLA to flow throug...

Re: Octoprint
There used to be a 'shutdown' selection on the settings pull-down menu but it is gone in the version I am running. I have been exercising the bad habit of turning off the printer/RBp with reckless abandon and so far have been lucky on SD card corruption. Do RBp's really get corrupted that often? FW...

Re: Super stringy prints, help!
I am struggling with this as well. I have reduced retraction and tried different temps. Any suggestions would be appreciated. This is green PLA. They are small parts printed on the same plate. Re: Adding RasPi Later
You can order the standoffs from SeeMeCNC. I ordered them, used my own Pi, and wired it up to the 5v Aux on the Rambo board. Very nice setup, IMO. Oh and you need some #6 1/2in sheet metal screws. I just bought some of those from the local hardware store. https://www.seemecnc.com/products/board-supp...

Re: Slicer Tests on the Rostock MAX V3
Hmm... well, I changed the speed in KISS and now it seems just fine. Perhaps my perception of printer speed is just way off. I cut it all in half and it works fine. My bad and thanks for looking at it. Changing the overfill overlap has eliminated my perimeter/infill gaps too. EDIT: To the note below...

Re: Slicer Tests on the Rostock MAX V3
Well, trying to get a different slicer going but having issues. I downloaded KISS and imported mhackney's profile. The printer moves way faster than first layer speed and does not extrude any material. I tried Cura as well and the object is outside the printable area. I may work on that one some but...

Hello, Checking in from the Atlanta suburbs and wanted to share my experience. Finished up my Rostock Max V3 and have to say that I am very impressed. All my previous 3d printing experiences have all been with a Wanhoa i3. It was great to learn on, but I really wanted to build something so I could f...
