Re: Rostock MAX V3 Extruder Chewing Up Filament

I had this issue as well before and regardless of the bowden tube, it would fail. The thing that fixed it was buying a new hobbed gear from SMCNC. Fixed all my problems right up.

Re: PLA Plugs at the end of the Bowden Tube

I tried the seemecnc support page solution with the unthreading and threading and it seemed to print smooth to some degree. However, I was afraid to mess something up by looking at the puck so I just left it and kept printing calibration things. After about 5-6 prints, it started sputtering again.

Re: PLA Plugs at the end of the Bowden Tube

Sorry, what I meant to say was, in the past, I had to remove the whole bowden tube WITH the 4mm plug at the end and chop it off in order to change filaments. So I have been printing in the past with the plugs but it had never affected my prints in any way I could tell.

Re: PLA Plugs at the end of the Bowden Tube

I'm going to keep trying some of these solutions. I've printed many prints at 60mm/s with this exact same setup and it has never really had this problem. I even had retracts out the wazoo. I moved it once across the state and now it has this issue. I'm really confused as to why I had been printing p...

Re: PLA Plugs at the end of the Bowden Tube

I've tried cutting it as perpendicular as I can. I also did chamfer it with a blade but It was kind of rough.

Can anyone upload a picture of a cold pull through the bowden so I can compare my results?

PLA Plugs at the end of the Bowden Tube

Recently, I've run into a weird problem where prints would fail after a few minutes due to under extrusion. Nozzle is clean and cold pulls are always spotless. Extruder gear is clean and extruding without the hotend on is fine. I've noticed that people say that the plug shown here https://www.toybui...

How do you get the autocalibration plugin if you don't use Octoprint?

Still having issues even with the towers squared and the new leveling aid posted last week. I'm looking for a physical cause of this issue.

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration

No visible improvement with the new firmware. I have to level many times and hope one is good enough. Then I use the set screws to manually complete the leveling. Did you clear eeprom before updating the firmware? Yup I did. However, I believe that it may be a tower squareness problem. I moved my p...

Are we supposed to be running the g29 code when at printing temps? I'm still not getting good results at all.

New Nozzle Height when Probing

I just installed the E3D .35 Brass Nozzle onto the Rostock v3. As you may know, the E3D nozzle sticks out a lot more than the stock nozzle. When I run the probing gcode, I'm now having about a 40-50% chance of the nozzle ramming into the glass and the code not stopping the motors. Instead, it skips ...

So I swapped nozzles to an .35 nozzle and the problem is back.

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration

4 days later and the printer is still producing quality first layers. Now I'm just optimizing retracts and stuff. But yes, in terms of the issues that I had with unlevel nozzle heights, the printer is performing 100%. Huge thank you to miaviator for taking the time to help out. Guy clearly knows his...

Any chance for a .3mm Nozzle?

I realized that Seemecnc has down to .4mm nozzles but I was hoping to get a .3mm nozzle. Anyone know where I can snag one? Either in Brass or SS.

Posting to say that I have the same issue here. Thinness/no print on the y-z side and thickness on the x tower. I squared all my towers as best I can but the problem did not fix itself.

Uneven Print Thickness

Hello, I seem to having some issues that I can't figure out with the Rostock Max v3 running prints off MatterControl 1.5. While printing the first layer, it seems like the nozzle is too close to the glass towards the y/z-column, and too far from the glass towards the x-column. https://postimg.org/im...
