Post upgrade reports?
Any post upgrade reports on the 3.2 update? I just unboxed my v3 after the move, and am trying to find a spot for it. As I refamiliarize myself with the challenges and joys of 3d printing I am considering throwing a few upgrades at it. How does the 3.2 update compare to some of the other options? Th...

Re: Rostock Max v3 enclosure
I have been out of pocket guys, sorry about that. Major life changes and I don't have a printer with me right now. If you have a specific change, I do have the cad software with me and can make changes, just not test.
I will watch for PM's again.

Re: PEI disaster
Are you running enclosed? I am running 75c on PEI enclosed. If you need to, just grab a huge garbage bag and enclose it. You will resolve adhesion/splitting issues in the middle of the print as well.

Re: KISS multiple copy bug?
Looks like rotating the STL 90 degrees avoids the sidewall bug on 6 copies, testing will continue.

Re: KISS multiple copy bug?
I think the STL looks ok, Blender found 11 thin faces, 1 sharp edge and 2464 Overhang faces. Everything else was 0.
I am trying a couple small changes to the slicing like Infill % and rotate to see if it makes a difference.

Re: KISS multiple copy bug?
How do you know if there is a mesh error if the slicer doesn't find it? I have had warnings show in the past about mesh errors on things I downloaded, but not stuff I have created myself in CAD.

Re: KISS multiple copy bug?
So... 1,2,3,4x copies print fine. 5,6,7 have issues on one or more of them. Cura graphical looks good, but I can't imagine that it is a mechanical issue due to the consistency of the issue, the fact that the center of the bed is fine for 1 copy, and has the sidewall error on the 6 and 7x multiples. ...

Cura didn't load for me, but MatterControl did. I don't see the defect in Matter control. Not sure what to look at next. I will get a picture loaded to see if anyone else has ideas.

Re: KISS multiple copy bug?
Along these lines, is there a tool that will graphically interpret show the details of gcode paths? WIth KISSlicer and multiple copies it seems to just show all of the paths simultaneous so it likely isn't the actual gcode path.

KISS multiple copy bug?
Does anyone know of a KISSlicer bug in 1.5 where sidewall artifacts can be introduced when you make multiple copies of something? I have an STL that when I make 6x of them, 1/6 has the artifact, when I make 7 2/7 have the artifact. 1x,2x,3x,4x are fine running a test on 5x now. It doesn't appear to ...

Re: Rostock Max v3 enclosure
The updated v3 files have been posted, I was having extruder issues so mine are UGLY. I will need to reprint :) I am finding that enclosing the PLA is a good idea as well, so I will probably order plexiglass when I decide to give my printer a break and reprint the frame so it looks decent. Significa...

Re: So many strings
I did find that I had a "puck" in the hot end when I did a cold pull. But even after fixing that on the part I care about I have stringing...running the high temp PLA colder than it wants to go.

Re: So many strings
I am doing some more testing, I could get down to 212 with normal PLA, no external stringing, just internal. I will try pulling and checking for a puck I have very small strings that add up depending on the path/object. Got distracted by working on my enclosure design again.

Re: So many strings
Switched the filament out to normal matterhacker black PLA, clicking starts at about 195c, 200c is solid no clicks a all. The lower temp helped stringing some and the part exterior was nice as usual. The material temp was too cold, no bonding between the internal fill and the walls. I am running the...

Re: So many strings
I found that my extruder was significantly out of calibration, (over extruding)I can now get down to around 204c before any clicking starts. Running my test print now to see if the stringing is better at a lower temp. It was interesting running lower temp tests which caused a blockage. Bumping the t...

Re: So many strings
The other option I thought of this morning was too much cooling. What fan % do you run when printing PLA? My main project has lots of overhangs so I tend to over cool which would effect the temp setting significantly. On the blockage option, I don't see a puck when I pull it. I will try again. Seems...

Re: So many strings
My problem is that as I bring the temp down the extruder starts clicking long before I get down to the low stringing temps. If I run PLA below 215 or so click click click. With the high temp PLA I am using I get a few clicks even at 222c. Same with the PETG just much higher temps. based on this I am...

I changed colors...not quite as good on the stringing. Exterior looks good, but more significant stringing. I am missing ABS
I hate trying to fix stringing.

Re: Oddness / sequential prints
Well, this appears to be mostly a speed related issue. If I do the perimeters at 15 mm/s the quality is that of the center of the bed. The clue was it happened once in the center of the bed during testing. Not happy, this PLA material is more sensitive than the ABS I was using before... Not sure wha...
