What happened to the pre 4/11/2017 max v3 assembly guide
So I am troubleshooting my printer and I was hoping to go back to the assembly instructions as a reference, only to find out they appear to not exists anymore. I see nothing here: https://seemecnc.dozuki.com/c/REV1_Rostock_Max_v3_Assembly_Pre_4112017 I guess I wll have to hope archive.org archived t...

OctopPrint not connecting
So I upgrade OctopPrint to 1.3.5 and now when OctoPrint is trying to connect it hangs, also it seems that the printer is returning garbage. Has anyone seen this? I can control the printer just fine through the LED screen, so I am not really sure what is going on here. Thanks. Connecting to: /dev/tty...

Re: OctoPrint Delta Calibration Plugin!
Just curious here why the load firmware and calibrate are not one button? Would you not always load the firmware before calibrating?

Bondtech
So I got a Bondtech QR, however, I am curious how I make sure that the current is set correctly for the stepper. I assume that I need to adjust the MOTOR_CURRENT setting in the firmware. First of all is this the correct setting? If it is not what am I looking for? Currently this is set to #define MO...

Thanks as I haven't upgraded to the duet yet I'll take a look at mhackney's build.

Firmware/GCODE/Commands
So is there some easy way I could make it so the heatsink fan does not turn on until the hotend actually starts to heat? I know there is M106/M107 but I think that might be the layer fan, or is this what I am looking for?

I'd think you would have to tune the PID

Re: Changing the Hot End?
I just finished putting a Volcano on my v3 using the 713Maker.com effector. Works great and looks sharp.

Re: Printing Vases
You need to go to the infill slider, one of the options is no infill and the is another no infill vase option. I dont have KISS up in front of me right now but it is on the infill slider.

Just because I recently conquered a problem like this, I recommend this thread for a good summary on the PID controller: http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php ... 27#p101827

Re: How-to: Quickly hand-tune your PID values
I was having a hard time wrapping my head around the PID calculations and this post has now made it so that I have a deviation of around 0.2 degrees C which is vastly improved (I admit I was a bit hesitant on changing values not fully understanding the ramifications completely). Unless you understan...

Re: Heat Fluctuation
Actually I think that the hotend plug is still wiggling loose slightly even with the retaining clip. I am going to have to look at modifying that part or coming up with a different solution.

Re: Heat Fluctuation
Thanks I am going through tuning the PID right now. i admit I have not gone through the firmware code yet but is there an autotune for the bed also? And actually I had forgotten that I had changed the PID values before and then wiped them out with the latest firmware upgrade. Thanks for the help.

Re: Heat Fluctuation
I don't have a PID output history and I doesn't look like there is one in the plugin repository. I guess I could look at making one though. Or is there already some tool that would do that for me? I have previously measure the voltage at the Rambo going to the hotend at 12.2 V, so I think that seems...

Heat Fluctuation
So I have noticed that sometimes the bed and the hotend will tend to not hold the set values, well they drift down more than 5°C. I realize there would be some fluctuation however it seems like it should possible stay closer to where set. I have started aiming things about 5°C more than I want figur...

Re: Problem calibrating printer
I had this happen, check your end stops. Use the M119 command to make sure that your end stops show open and closed at the appropriate times, make sure the wires are seated securely both on the board and in the connectors themselves. This is where I would start but it could be something else.

Re: MeltInk PLA/PHA Blend?
I have a bit of the MeltInk PLA/PHA. I found that to print on bare glass I need the bed at 70 - 75°C, I started out down around 55 - 60°C and the increased bed temp helped a lot. I've used the Blue, Yellow, Lillac, Pink and Glow in the Dark (which I still have more testing to do to get things to pri...

Re: Temp fail causing print fail
So I had also started to experience some issues like being described here, some fluctuation of temp during prints and now I am not getting any heat at the hot end. I have measured a resistance of 6.0 ohms over the heater cartridge, I ordered a new cartridge but I am curious if I need to look at anyt...

Re: Endstops
So just to update this in case anyone reads this, I did get this working. Double check you wiring, it seems that my ends to the RAMBo from the endstops was not quite good enough. After re-seating the ends going into the RAMBo for the endstops I am now happily printing, I do love the delta.
