Re: Strange STUTTERING on complex parts
I can consistently reproduce this problem if I slow down the flow multiplier below 100% on the LCD panel while executing gcode with short moves on an SD card. It goes away when I turn the flow multiplier back up to 100%.

Re: Display Question
I see the blocks on the LCD on my machine for a second or two on powerup just before the firmware boots. I don't know if the blocks are part of the startup or the default on powerup before the Arduino accesses it. I don't hear the clicking on rotating the encoder (digital potentiometer) until after ...

Did the upgrade today with 3/32" (2.4mm) cork sheet from Michael's (craft supplies) for $3.49... Awesome! Now the Fan on my 24V Onyx power supply is way too loud!

I sent an email to SeemeCNC a few days ago asking for instructions or video for the ezstruder top mount and haven't heard from them yet. I'd heard they were at a maker faire.

Re: Cork gaskets to make steppers quiet
I wonder if you could print it out of nylon? I printed a bracket I had previously made thats close to the same size with Kisslicer and sparce infill (12.5%) using Taulman 645 and its fairly flexible and spongy. It probably needs some experimentation to get it just right, but maybe it would work. Nyl...

Re: Looking for an E3D Hotend in the US
Sanjay, First I should say that I love the E3d hotend and use it for everything except PLA, then I switch to a J-head. I've found that I can get the E3d to work, but the extrusion force for PLA on my E3d is too high for the direct drive Ezstruder, and my geared drive extruder more easily chews up AB...

I tried the script with the @pause and it didn't pause, I received the dialogue to continue, but without having to click continue it proceeded on it's way through all the steps. Re: Unshrouded LCD header pins
Mine are shrouded and I don't know what happens if you plug them in backwards. It looks like at least you can align the key on the ribbon connectors with the marking for the key on the PC Board. Thats how I figured out how to align the shrouded connector when soldering it.

Re: ABS Clogging
I had a problem with the E3d clogging with ABS when hooked up to the g-code controlled fan output. There were times when the hotend was on and the fan was off. I connected it to 12V directly so it runs all the time and I haven't have a problem with ABS for months. Polygonhell's Repetier firmware has...

Back to dehumidifiers... I've been storing my spools, including the nylon, in jumbo hefty bags with desicant and they seem to be reasonably dry. I picked these up at BJ's Wholesale Club. Which slicing program is best for cylindrical objects? I ended up using Kisslicer for the ball ends. It starts each layer at a different point on the cylinder (I think this is because of wipe), so it averages out the errors and the surface is a little rougher but you don't have those seam lines. He...

With 4 pin micro deans , I have one connector for the heating resistor and thermistor, and then one additional connector for the PEEK fan and two pins for future expansion (lights probably). I noticed that the hotend you are using for the PLA has no slots in the Peek to aid in cooling, is that a problem for you? I just went to his website and it does show there are no slots. Is that a custom fan mount you have on the PLA head? It seems to work fine for PLA with the fan. Yes, I made a l...

One of the things I like most about the magnetic arms is the speed with which you can disasemble the platform with the hotend. I printed up a second platform and have the E3d set up for ABS and nylon, and the other head (makergear style, from the guy that makes the screw-in thermistor) for PLA. With...
