Re: Questions about Projectors for Resin-Based Printers

LOL, Stack, i've been running the P1283 on HDMI or VGA, either one seems fine. Polygonhell is as always a wealth of knowledge. The extra heat generated seems to be minimal, I havn't noticed any issues with any of ours yet. The focus issue can ALSO be solved by spacing out the focal ring if you can't...

Curing LARGE parts without tilt mechanisms

So, The other day (8/12/2014) steve and JJ and guanu and I were talking about printing LARGE parts with a resin printer, and the difficulties with tilting a vat of platform with a large surface area. Then .... Steve came up with the idea of curing 'sections' of the layer one at a time, with a lift s...

It'd be good to get together with you all NOT while the craziness of the expo is going on. See ya t...

Re: BETA testers discussion

YES, MAKE SURE you print the parts in PLA not ABS, as the resin can break down ABS parts if it gets soaked in the resin.

And for all you accepted ones, there wasn't any shipping on the beta kits on the website, surprise! Lucky you guys!

BETA testers discussion

Hey all you beta testers, this is the topic that we will be using for feedback/comments etc... of the DropLit. Makerjuice G+

Been testing more with the G+ formula from makerjuice, and so far the red, yellow and green all are printing nicely. Yellow looks almost transparent, red looks awesome as always, and green is pretty close to grass green filament. The green seemed a little bit more touchy to cure times/settings, so r...

Re: Makerjuice SubSF

McSlappy, yes, with JJ's help, i've had more time to get caught up in the machine shop/production side of things and have some time to finish some 'pet projects' like the droplit :) So, SubSF at least in the blue tint isn't so hot :( The blue was scattering pretty bad, so i took sgrabers advice and ...

Re: Beta Tester Thread (OPEN NOW)

Christian79, You are correct in that the only real feedback we are looking for is on the hardware/design side of it. As for projectors/resins, that will all be up to the end user, not only for the betas but for all droplits for the foreseeable future. If you build your beta AND get it printing, then...
