Re: Artemis(✓) or Rostock MAX v4 (X)

linear rails should make a big difference with effector tilt.... which should help printing along the edges without a lot of software correction.

30 grand for a FDM printer? LOL WHY EVEN BRING THAT UP. One good thing about deltas is that its pretty simple to design an enclosure for them.

Wow. That is a nice printer. If i wasnt already building a coreXY it would definitely be on my want list. Its got a lot of high-quality features. I love the fact that SeeMeCNC finally decided to switch from RAMBO to Duet.

CNC lathes aren't really accessible for dyi enthusiasts, software is defiantly going to be the largest challenge i think.

Re: US, Mid-Atlantic, considering Delta printer

The Rostock v2 is a very nice kit printer, I am using it now. However, I only seem to be about to get 10" diameter prints without a lot of rigamaroll. It's still a good kit for the money and I would recommend it over the Eris and the H3. Both those printers are seemecnc's attempt to race to the...

Re: Hectic! But nice.

I wish your website had forums so that people with the extruder could talk about it together yet.

I'm also slightly disappointed that although I bought two zesty nimbles, I can only use them in a dual extrusion setup because the nylon parts for the single extruder option weren't included.

Re: Done buying Hatchbox

I've used hatchbox a lot and haven't had a problem. It's not my go to filament, i actually prefer matterhackers filament... but if i need a certain color fast, i can get hatchbox delivered next day... i got a spool of black and light blue abs im using right now... no issues.

Re: Hectic! But nice.

I got mine today. It was packaged well. It looks well made :) I'm sort of worried about its ability to push filament through, because the thing that applies the pressure is so small. But, i'm not even close to an expert so i'm probably worried about nothing ;) It's going to be a little while before ...

Re: A question of smell

Hi. Nothing worse than a gassy printer. I had an issue similar to yours. What you need to do is get some beano drops and pour them down the bowden tube. The entire bottle. It's amazing how well it works.

Poor Man's Digital Dentist Core XY build

Hi guys. I'm not putting MR. Green Down, or sending him out to smell the roses, but i am building an new 3D printer! I am working on a coreXY machine with an approximate build platform of 18" cube. My design is inspired and almost entirely coppied from The Digital Dentist's build over at RepRap...

Re: Hectic! But nice.

nope. still waiting, looks like they are making a lot of compromises, so we'll see. From what i read they changed to a different sls printer whose tolerances weren't as tight, but they are adding a bushing or something to get rid of the wobble.

Re: PEI disaster

Applying wet allows you to move it around since the stickyness of the sticky stuff is nullifed until it dries. It helps to get the air bubbles out. Tho, i just apply it dry. I aint got time for that. :D

Im not sure why youd want to go to 100 anyway. I got better print quality at around 80c. Im running a 50c enclosure, however.

Hi. The minimum current the rambo can put out is zero, the max is 2 amps. the current value you see in arduino are a value between 0 and 255, where 0 is 0 Amps, and 255 is two amps. so if 255value = 2 amps a ratio 255/2 = 127.5 x/1.2 = 127.5 x = 1.2 * 127.5 new value = 153 i hope i'm doing the maths...

Re: Determining unknown nozzle bore size.

The nozzle was aready bored to .4mm, so i'm assuming it would automatically center in the hole. I'm not looking for methods to measure the bore, persay, but more, how to dial in the printer to the proper bore width if you do not know it.

Determining unknown nozzle bore size.

Hi guys. I have a cyclops hot end and was dissapointed that they did not have a 1mm nozzle for printing t-glase. So, i got myself a 1mm drill bit and made myself one. The issue is, however, im sure that despite using a drill press i'm sure its not exactly 1mm in size so im wondering what the best me...
