Bones, its more likely that you have a loose connection somewhere. I highly doubt movement from the hotend is being read during printing (in fact, its definitely not)...
McHackney, do you have a link to your duet mount? And, im not sure if you have the maker713 effector mount, but if you do, did you design a mount for the IR reader?
When I tried it a few times it would keep going down on one axis and tilt the effector a bit... after a few goes it would finally do its ditty but the results where meh. I was aiming for better than what I could achieve manually.... not there yet. I couldn't wait any longer, I broke down and thesuet...
Interesting, for me the dev firmware resulted in a poorer calibration. y is too low, x and z are too high. I'm going to try and manually calibrate again... Wifi duet is calling
It looks like you have to multiple your radius by .707 to get the demensions to show up correctly in simplify3D since it uses the largest square that will fit inside the printer... probable solved, except for now my part is too big
Hello, Is there any easy way to return the position of the extruder? The reason is that i have an enclosure which limits how big my print area is and im trying to tune it in. 197mm was working, but when i measure the radius of the print bed from the center to where my extruder should have to stop, i...
Hmm. Interesting. I was thinking you'd just add a few jumpers so you could either get the data from the on board accelerometer or the he280. But, i guess the second board requires a lot of additional components. I'm definitely interested in the first board.

Neat. Whats the ETA on getting the the first prototypes for in-house testing? If i'm understanding correctly this will just attach to the current accelerometer board?
I have seen a few people have one of those green mats with the squares on them that are "measuring mats" ... i searched for them on amazon... but most of them are like 9" x 12"... i was looking for one of the ones like YOU have.
The main problem was bad design .... i2c was a bad bad bad choice. But, looks like the ferrites solved the issue. I have some laying around so I might give this a go, although I was happy with my calibration on the first go but I havnt printed out to all the edges yet...
Interesting... that was one of my worries was about figuring out an adapter... so it's good to know I can go for it straight away. I donated the money for two in case I decide to go for dual extrusion with a cyclops, but I'm probably going to I've it a go with one first.
simplify3D's EULA is standard for any software company that is not open source. Not a big deal. Also, it is unlikely that a court would uphold all of the EULAs terms, especially the one about agreeing to automatically agree to any new terms in the EULA without expressly agreeing to them.
that's not a bad deal, but i think most people here already have a printer or few,.. i'd try the reprap forums... hang out in the "cheap chinese import" section and then when they show you a picture of their imitation ramps board and arduino melted together you can offer this printer as su...
