Re: Im getting pretty excited
Got the calibration dialed in, as far as the bed goes. Didn't take that long, but i haven't had a lot of time to work on it :-/. The ring reaches as far out as i can print (limited due to het enclosure) IMG_0744.JPG I've already got the temps checked with a thermocouple.. but now i'm printing a temp...

Re: Im getting pretty excited
Just pressed print on a 20mm calibration cube. Lets see what happens  EDIT: Needed make some manual adjustments to the PID settings... was never reaching temp on the hot end. It's crazy how quiet this thing is... now instead of sounding like a 3D printer it sounds like a vacuum cleaner (fans). ...

Re: Im getting pretty excited
I destroyed the mosfet on the f0 part fan, because of the berdair..... works on a rambo but not on a duet.... voltage spikes due to the brushed motor and no scrubber diode... I'm sorry, we never expected people to connect brushed motors to the fan outputs or we would have included a flyback diode. ...

Re: Im getting pretty excited
All my issues are mainly do to inexperience, this is the first time i've tried to set up a controller board from scratch.. i'm amazing how quiet the steppers are and how nice the web interface is... I also dead-shorted the ground and 3.3v rails incorrectly setting up the end stops, but the board sur...

Re: Duet failures
i got this one comming.. it's not a crydon? but i was thinking s center it's just for a fan, it would be ok (since who cares if it fails closed). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0058UY8M8/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 OFC, i do not have much experience with this, so if i am guessing ...

Re: Duet Fail
... I have an extra pwm slot that isn't being used atm, and i am wondering how hard it would be to use that as the part fan controller (after getting an ssr)... if it's doable (google is unclear) then i'd feel more comfortable doing that; the mosfet for the fans is smaller than i've soldered before....

Re: Delta Radius VS Printable Radius?
Thanks for the help, Ive got auto cal completing... it is absolutely insane how much the stepper drivers effect the sound of the machine. Now the loudest part is the fans! I can barely hear the motors moving, and i don't even have dampers installed. Actually, just as i was typing this the head took ...

Re: Delta Radius VS Printable Radius?
Thanks! I wasn't too far off then... I measured 143.5 If you are familiar with the Duet, do you know if you can change a setting that will let you jog the controls without homing first? I can't home ATM because the steppers are moving down toward the bed, instead of up toward the endstops, and im no...

Delta Radius VS Printable Radius? Duet Setup
Hi, I did try google for this but, what is the difference between delta radius and printable radius? I know i can print a 190mm circle on my printer, (the enclosure limits me a little bit) so that is an 85mm radius... is the Delta radius the printable radius minus the radius of the effector? What wo...

Im getting pretty excited
Sorry for the post but i just cant contain myself. I've gotten my Duet hooked up to the printer, and after an unfortunate incident with end stop wiring (shorting out the 3.3v rail) i'm getting blinky lights and wifi is connected
Ain't printing yet, but that can't be far behind.

your planning to hand-solder those? I can't seem to master smd solding for anything smaller than 1208... the solder seems to go everywhere :-/.

Re: Settings to smooth the edges better? Pic attached
Keep in mind that because you're using S3D, you have the option of defining a different layer height for different layer points in the print. You could print .2 up to a certain point, switch to .1 for the area you want smoother and then back to .2... g. wow, i didn't know about that feature.... goi...

Re: New Nozzle Height when Probing
I don't think that is likely to be the issue because the z-probe probes for differences in z-height and uses those differences to calibrate.
I think it's more likely there's a loose wire in your setup; the psON one maybe since that's the interrupt
