Re: MAX v2 with Duet upgrade

Ahh. Ok. Thanks for your note back.

Do you use other 3D printers than the 2 v1's ?

Re: MAX v2 with Duet upgrade

The "ball cups" are the white plastic parts inside the red rectangle I guess. So that will be fine. Recap - I need: 1. Adapter plate from maker713 2. Duet smart effector 3. E3D HotEnd --> which I already have 4. Ball cups. --> which I already have Do you use the Duet smart effector ?

Re: MAX v2 with Duet upgrade

Sorry for my late reply Geneb. I haven't been in the forum lately. This is an interesting thought. So I would need: 1. Due smart effector adapter (to mount the Duet smart effector) 2. Duet smart effector I'm not sure about the ball cups. They seem not be included according https://713maker.com/rosto...

Thanks Geneb.
It's in the base. The display housing and the parts behind it were designed in Fusion 360.

Re: Firmware 20170201 not valid for my MAX v2

Been wrestling with similar issues. installed a BLTouch on my V2 and its been working fine with older revisions, but not so much their latest. I know a lot has been customized, so I think my next step is to go vanilla Repetier and just transfer specific config settings I need over to keep it clean....

Re: Polyflex with Rostock Max V2

Seen your solution too - it appeared too complicated for me ;-)
The result with the simple approach I'm using is stunning. It prints really well with Polyflex.

Polyflex with Rostock Max V2

Just wanted to share the Extruder modification of my stock extruder on the Rostock MAx V2 when printing with flexible filaments like Polyflex: After jamming the filament indside the hobbed wheel - I've printed this modification on from Thingiverse. http://www.thingiverse.com/make:268295 It works rea...

Communication READ: wait

In my Communication window in Simplify 3D I'm getting a "READ: wait" message every second, even nothing happens. How can I suppress this? Turning off verbose logging basically works, but then I don't see anymore any text. READ: wait READ: wait READ: wait READ: wait READ: wait READ: wait RE...

Z - Probe on Z-Min Endstop

I'm trying to setup my z-Probe (mini height IR sensor board) on my Rambo v1.3 board. I've connected it to the Z-min endstop and modified my configuration.h file to this: (according https://www.repetier.com/documentation/repetier-firmware/z-probing/) #define FEATURE_Z_PROBE true #define Z_PROBE_PIN 2...

Re: Smoothieboard question

I just realize that my board is not a original smoothieboard - it is a MKS sBase board. The "version" command doesn't exist here. Hmm.. Thanks for the config.txt file. You seem to use it on a Rostock Max - So I'll compare your settings once with my settings. I'll try the 50mm as well once ...

Re: Smoothieboard question

Thanks KAS.

I already have these values - and they seem to do the first bouncing to slowly approach the end stops. But they don't seem to have any effect after homing. My carriage remains at the end stops. Not sure why...

Smoothieboard question

I'm currently testing a smoothieboard instead of the Rambo board on my Rostock MAX V2. I have a issue at the home all sequence at the endstops. On the Rambo board, after homing all towers, the carriage does a bounce back from 5mm with slow speed to the end stops. After touching the end stops again, ...

Re: Auto Calibration Requierments

I have 24 hrs of experience (literally just installed it yesterday) with the IR module and 1000s of hrs with FSRs so I am not qualified to comment yet. That said, every solution is a tradeoff. I like the concept of touchless probing but having the probe position offset from the nozzle tip is not id...

Re: under extrusion occurs every now and then...

I've printed the above yellow shell again with a different PLA filament (low cost PLA which gave me good results so far). (from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1559232). It's the outer shell. Strangely I've found some irregularities similar, but not identical to what I've seen on the yellow part al...

Re: under extrusion occurs every now and then...

It seems random. Yesterday I've printed a model without any issues - however another low cost filament had been used. I need to check for this behaviour more detailed. Maybe I'll print out one more sample I did in the past that had said temporary under extrusion signs. (the yellow part in my earlier...

Re: under extrusion occurs every now and then...

Happens on expensive PLA (Dutch filament) and also low cost type PLA filament.
Didn't happen in the past, but now as shown from time to time in middle of a print.

General question: Is this problem more related to the hot end or the extruder / hobbed bolt?

Jim, Thank you for your suggestions -I'll go through your list and check the items mentioned. I've recently changed from Mattercontrol to Simplify 3D, and I'm still adjusting some parameters. Not sure what could be set wrong to get under extrusion at some locations. I suspect some hardware issue. Wi...

I have my Rostock Max V2 since about 4 months now. Total print time is ~224hrs. I have observed that on my recent prints with different filaments that there is some under extrusion from time to time.
