Not what I was hoping for but unrelated circumstances require it. Hope to get back to the hobby again soon.Qdeathstar wrote:yikes, bought in February sold in August?

Rostock Max V2 For Sale
Hi all Due to personal circumstances, I am having to part with my Rostock Max V2. I have loved this printer, and spent a ton of money and effort on upgrades. Here are the upgrades that I have added since the original build. - E3D Titan Extruder - E3D V6 Hotend - Maxell 24V Power Supply - 12V DC Conv...

Y Tower Calibration Issue
Hi all After upgrading arms, effector platform, hot-end and carriages I am having some calibration issues. I can get things going well enough to print good with small diameter items - but it goes bad when I move to larger items. I think the problem is related to the DELTA_RADIUS and related settings...

Re: Unable to remove filament using red lever
I would check to see if the tension is too tight on the extruder. Loosen the screw a bit to see if it helps.

Re: LCD Seems Borked
There is a contrast setting on the back of the board. Try that first. If it fails, then you may have a dead board and should contact SeeMeCNC support. If you can't find it let me know and I can post a picture. I had one replaced early on but it has been fine since.

For that price, I would be interested. Have already busted one panel, and would have gladly paid for this as a replacement.

Re: Upgrade time!
Well, after several months and a lot of trial and error, my upgraded machine is finally printing quality parts again. Phew! I am not an expert yet by any stretch, but love the building process. So while this took a long time, it was a fun journey. That said, upgrades are hard work and require patien...

I had similar problems and they were loose connectors on the thermistor connections. Double check that the crimped ends are inserted completely.

Steppers move in one direction only
Hi all I tore down my Rostock Max V2 to fix a layer shifting issue, and replaced some cables at the same time. I just got everything assembled and am now having a weird problem. The stepper motors will only move in one direction. The carriages will move down but not up. I have disconnected as many t...

Re: Calibrating and tuning my new Rostock Max V2
Cool to see you just got your Max V2 running - there is little as satisfying as seeing that first print. As someone who is fairly new to this printer as well, I would offer some advice. Wait to upgrade. Like many people here, I really wanted to try some upgrades. I figured I was experienced enough a...

Re: Layer shifting
Thanks IM. S3D does have those settings, and I made the adjustments. It helped, but it was still shifting. The image doesn't really show it well, but there was a definite shift. Alas, it turns out that it was a mechanical issue. One of my Trick Trucks was too tight. After adjusting all of them and c...

Layer shifting
Hey all I have recently upgraded my Max V2, and have been trying to get it calibrated properly. Feels like I am getting there, but have run into a layer shift problem that I can't resolve. I think it may be the belt tension, but can't quite figure this one out. Hoping the experts can weigh in. I can...

Re: Rostock MAX™ v2 for son
Agreed on the manual, and the comments. Build stock first, using the instructions from Gene. There is nothing quite as satisfying as building the printer, and then printing the PEEK fan shroud. Insanely cool. I have put plenty of hours in with the base unit and am now calibrating my upgrades. I don'...

Brian is solid. I have ordered a ton from TrickLaser and can't say enough good things. The quality of his stuff is incredible. I am pretty sure half of my printer now is TrickLaser. Second, he has been great at providing support and answering questions. Awesome guy and creates amazing stuff!

Max V2 3D design?
Are 3D models available of the V2 top and bottom enclosures? I am working on a different design for the side panels and a model to work from would be really helpful. I found a model of the top enclosure online, but it isn't totally accurate.

Meanwell fan swap
I have been slowly working to upgrade my V2 and the first item on the list was a 24V power supply. As per many recommendations here, I bought the Meanwell. Someone mentioned how loud they are so I decided to have a look inside. The internal fan is a 60mm Sunon. I replaced it with a 60mm cheap fan fr...

Good point. It is quite possible this was a legit unit. I think the message here is that given the importance of this component, it is probably worth the investment in getting a new one from a reputable source.

Re: Crydom Failure
I am happy to report that the Crydom from Arrow Electronics works great. Looking at the new one side-by-side with the old, it is now easy to see it was a fake.
Do NOT buy one of these from eBay.
