Re: Forum maintenance update...

Godaddy is crap!
Move away while you can... I had them hold up the transfer of one of my domains (the last one left at GD) just long enough to force me to pay for a new year of shitty service.

Re: Max V2 Calibration Help

It is wise to have your endstop-screws calibrated before doing anything else, but it is also hard to calibrate them really well if other calibrations are off by that much. You will have to follow multiple iterations of that calibration. I adapted previous infographic a bit, maybe that clears up some...

Re: Rostock MAX v3.2 reviews

As for temperatures the bed is capable of, I've not used a V3 specific bed, however, the V2 could hit 120 C (slowly) on 12V (with a upgraded ATX supply. 1 rail supply in the V3 is slightly adjustable to increase voltage, and more stable), and the Rev 10 bed on the 3.2's is the same total area and p...

Re: Rostock MAX v3.2 reviews

The barrier to getting an affordable printer with a heated chamber is patents. Until the patents that Stratasys (and probably 3D Systems) expire, there's no legal way for companies like SeeMeCNC to offer a heated chamber I did not know that, thanks for the info. On the other hand it would be (for c...

Re: Max V2 Calibration Help

It is exactly that Diagonal Rod Length that is causing your issue. deltacolumnnames2.png You think you inserted the correct length into your firmware, but obviously you have not. In case of the magnetic balls, you will need the length form ball-center to ball-center. You can finetune that by upping ...

Re: Rostock MAX v3.2 reviews

High bed temperature will sure help against ABS shrinkage in a real air-still environment, but is primarily needed for a good bed-adhesion. You cannot heat-up against flowing cool air at 50mm above bed level. Like Gene says, you will ruin your print just by walking by. bedheat is no solution for tha...

Re: Anyone else still rocking the original Rostock Max?

Agreed on Facebook. I got off it a few months ago, the signal to noise ratio was horrendous, but when I start digging through forums again it's a little depressing how most of them now resemble ghost towns. Yeah... looks like most people are turning to facebook so they can pretend they don't now ab...

Re: Anyone else still rocking the original Rostock Max?

Has everyone upgraded away or are the machines just steadily getting on with their unremarkably consistent performance I don't think many have been upgrading away from SeeMeCNC printers (how would that be possible?) But I think Facebook is the deathpenalty to many thriving forum-communities. No pro...

Re: Max V2 upgrade to HE280

I don't see why the tricklaser skates would not be good. Are you still on Rambo? Then the H280 is the choice to make. In case you already have a duet, I would go for E3D + FSR or the Smart Effector with 713makers adapter.

Re: Rostock MAX v3.2 reviews

To reassure anyone with interest in a SeeMeCNC Delta, In the past (Rostock Models V1 and V2) everybody was always busy upgrading machines with different arms, different skates, different hotends and different controllers. I think SeeMeCNC took that as criticism ;-) because the later models incorpora...

Re: My edit of esbowman's v27 Tensioners

I know that this is an oldie, sorry to bring it up again. But I am interested in these tensioners for my V2. Just a question: The original V2 has a much more flexibel design, and the sliders are intended to be fixated by the bolt. In this remake thare is no posibility to adjust the axle-bolt anymore...

Yes, The facegroup is pretty busy, but it hardly suitable for support. Most people seem to be too lazy to visit fora anymore.
Maybe it is cursing in church, but I am afraid a lot of the early SeeMe enthusiasts took off to other brands too...

Re: Max V2 works, but this connector can't be right

No, that's NOT good. This connector and the way power is divided from one port to the other is a real PITA and asking for trouble. It works however fine if you make it a habit to check the screws every now and then. Personally I would lay off the twisted ATX threads to a bigger screwterminal or junc...

Re: Converting MAX v3 to ATX PSU

I would never use an ATX power supply. I don't think they are very suited to the quickly changing power demands of PWM. ATX has only one advantage: The advantage is that you can set up the firmware to turn off the 12V power at the end of a print. And that is nicely covered by a good industrial PSU p...

Kodachrome, interesting construction with the extruders on the back of the skates. How is that working out? And the third extruder, is that just "counterbalance"?

Re: Warped Onyx Board V2

I have a V2 with FSR and duet, and I can say that calibrating before each print is a must anyways. The constructional stiffness of a V2 is in my opinion not enough by far (at least mine is not) because of the melamine parts. That the onyx bends a little (or a lot in some cases) is a fact, but in my ...

Re: Constant jamming with an e3d V6

Usually a first layer gets printed more slowly. Try to decrease the overall printing speed. I also suffered a lot from cloggs. My guess is that the heat transfer capacity of a standard E3D v6 is rather low and therefore hasty people (like me!) want to melt too much filament in too little time. The V...

Infill much too fat

Iwas trying Slic3r again, has been a while. Update to the 1.38.5 version first. I have been upgrading to a Volcano heatblock, with a .8mm nozzle. In the printer settings - Extruder1 I changed the Nozzle diameter to 0.8 of course. That prints well, except for the solid layers. They seem to be much to...
